On the night I feel that thing again, the hunger that overtook me on the beach, I know this would have happened anyway. That what I need to survive is not Gale’s fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.

I miss November being the month I looked forward to each year. I miss being excited over new movies and getting to see my favorite cast on screen. I miss press tours and interviews. I miss being excited for something again.

I’ve had The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes for months and have yet to even crack it open. If that doesn’t scream depression for me, I don’t know what does.

my opinions on racism will always be limited as I’m from a position of white privilege, so whilst it’s so important to call out racial inequality and oppression when I see it, it’s also important for me to recognise that my voice should not shout over those who have actually experienced racism and have a far better understanding of how it operates then I ever will

"Because even though April was reminded over and over again that God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, that’s just not true. He does."
Review of 14x10 “Personal Jesus”
So many people were fantastic in this episode, but my review mainly focuses on April’s story as she is the one I connect with the most.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.

My Opinion on mother!
So, the consensus is that you either love or hate this film with a burning passion. However, I'm here to tell you that the experience can be a mixture of both appreciation and utter disgust...as it should. For one to truly love this film would bring to surface one of the main issues that the movie is about...human greed and ignorance. Yes, mother! is quite "assaulting," but I think that is the purpose of conveying the message...which is a rather dark one. The film is basically a biblical allegory, but it also brings to light humanity's physical assault on the planet. Regardless of if this was an underlying purpose or not, I felt that the movie shows that Mother Nature (our planet and home) gives us all it has...just like mother's son. However, humanity robs nature of life, taking everything it gives us for granted. So, mother! is a beautiful metaphor...in an agonizingly taunting way. In my opinion, it's a film that's worth seeing, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart (see what I did there?) Also, Jennifer Lawrence killled it. It's quite amazing how raw she can be...an Oscar worthy performance! Just thought I'd throw that in there! I am truly shaken.
