Dantalion is smart but he doesn’t want to learn anymore. The world is too much for him when his head is screaming at him but he can’t tell William that. It feels like William thinks he’s worth saving. The warmth in his chest is brief but it’s there. He forces himself to remember that William doesn’t know him.
Dantalion hopes he never will. He feels like a hypocrite, he lies but wishes for devotion (X).
