i GET that the only way to get over someone you love is to drop it/*35 y/o voice* ~let them go~ but its so hard. I have dreams of you, moments where I think you’re next to me and we’re back in our own little world where we feel everything together. I know we’re different people now, and I know we probably wouldn’t last through a normal conversation, but I have to express for myself that this feels like I lost a dear, worn safety blanket. Its not that I love the idea of “blankets,” but more fell in love with what we went through together. Does that make sense? I stopped saying our relationship was a joke last year. I was honest for the first time and admitted I made just as many mistakes as you did. I hope one day we meet again, not to own you, not to validate myself, but to see you and be proud of how far we both have come.
