So I've mentioned it in places here and there, but I got a minute, so lemme explain what I'm calling the Ally Restoration Project.
To summarize in one senctence, it's me re-imagining what the "original" story Ally is from was like, before Satan did what he did to alter the book (and make it an actual world).
As you can see, I've been thinking about it for a while... ADHD brain and a 40-hour work week makes focus hell, though.
At the very least, I've written some excerpts and taken plenty of notes!
The vibe I'm trying to get with the prose is like, those older written-for-young-readers chapter books that seem to spawn naturally in every primary school's classrooms back in the day.
...That's a terrible way to describe it. I guess, simple, digestible, and as told by an earnest storyteller?
I'd say the first chapter is a little under halfway written (not seen here). Life circumstances being what they are, progress has come slowly (as with everything I work on lol), but by this point I feel pretty confident in what I got worked out so far. So hopefully I can find the wherewithall to start writing soon...!
