Greetings. My modus disassembles items I have captcha'd into a "pool" of (mostly generalized, few specialized) parts. I have to reassemble the item I want correctly with no instruction. Failure results in a ghost image. I have nicknamed it "gizmodus". Personally I have found it quite suiting to my interest in tinkering, but I was interested in what others may think.
►◄► Convenience. 0/3 ◄►◄
►◄► You gotta have some fast fucking prongs for this, you're definitely going to learn a lot about a lot of things using this. I tip my metaphorical cranial adornment to you. ◄►◄
►◄► Simplicity. 0/3 ◄►◄
►◄► I can't decide if this is a 3/3 simplicity or a 0/3. I will go with 3/3 so I suppose that sets a precedent that this is ranked off of mechanical intricacies rather than conceptual ones. This shits wack. It has to be one of the more complex modi I've seen. There are some more simple ones that rely on visual components like the shape-break modus or even the jigsaw modus, but physical ones take a new level. This does remind me of that one modus that Troll LEGO did, though. Maybe one of them was based on the other. ◄►◄
►◄► Scrutability. 3/3 ◄►◄
►◄► This modus hides nothing, and tells nothing. The most scrutes of them all. ◄►◄
►◄► 4/10, wack modus. ◄►◄

Timeline mOOdus. Items are arranged by age (I can switch between oldest tOO newest and newest tOO OOldest, I prefer OOldest tOO newest). I have tOO put them in OOrder myself, and unfOOrtunately if I get it wrOOng they all eject 8/
►◄► Here we go, that's more like it. ◄►◄
►◄► Convenience. 1/3 ◄►◄
►◄► There are a couple of different variations of these, like all modus types I guess, but out of the box, these allow you to store plenty of items with the incentive of not fucking up, but ultimately it is sort of just a queue modus with extra difficulty, which makes it pretty inconvenient. I am pretty sure theres a setting on most editions of these that lets you turn off the eject function and let it just reject the addition, though. If yours doesn't have it, I could probably find a retool for you.◄►◄
►◄► Simplicity. 3/3 ◄►◄
►◄► Pretty fucking simple all things considered. It is an annoying rule to work around, but it's a really basic one. The only problems I have ever seen all seem to be covered in the settings, like the 'oldest component, youngest component, conceptual' toggle on the back that covers combinations. ◄►◄
►◄► Scrutability. 0/3 ◄►◄
►◄► Frankly, my thoughts on this subject are summarized by this: How does it know. There are a few people out there who have been actually testing stuff like this, but really. How. ◄►◄
►◄► 5/10, ok modus. ◄►◄

File modus! ^w^ b@stically i input each item w/ a crrtain f8le p@th && i need 2 rretype the filepath 2 rretreive the item, l8ke a PC!!
►◄► Wow. If you're using one of the older models, that sucks. ◄►◄
►◄► Convenience. 1/3 ◄►◄
►◄► These things have a lot of variation, there are quite a few custom retools that I saw while researching this that seem pretty decent, if not nice, but they all have some pretty big problems. For one, typing the file path sucks, especially on the earlier versions with no auto-fill function. The absolutely archaic ones don't even show you a list of the directories which is just unusable in the worst of cases. Frankly I have no idea how *those* versions made it out of the factories.◄►◄
►◄► Simplicity. 1/3 ◄►◄
►◄► Simple on the surface, but the complexity allowed in the settings can be pretty insane. I can see how they justify the sizes you can have with those inventories with how unnecessarily complicated some of these are. ◄►◄
►◄► Scrutability. 2/3 ◄►◄
►◄► Scrutable enough. You type all the names and if you're not the worst with file naming, it's pretty easy to use. My main problem with it is the inability to see which item is under what file path. Some of those old ones I might have to justify negative points in though...◄►◄
►◄► 5/10, mid modus. ◄►◄

What the fuck is a modus. I just carry things around.
►◄►How do you carry cumbersome things like buckets or blenders? Do you just... Carry your weapons around without a specibus?◄►◄
►◄► Get a sylladex, ok? They're made by DRT, Distant Rim Tech, apparently some aliens have them too, like this one backwater species the empire ran into recently has ones made by 'Skaianet,' so I think they're kind of a universal constant for advanced enough species. ◄►◄
►◄► Grab a decent modus while you're at it. Not 'Bitcup.' Bitcup sucks. The bucket variation has a lot of inventory space though.  ◄►◄

reverze m&duz! t& get my shit &ut i h&ve t& repl&ce it with z&mething th&t h&z &n &pp&zite tr&it. like if i w&nt my delici&uz h&t never&ge i need t& repl&ce it with & piece &f ice. it.. it'z &ctually re&lly inc&nvenient. it zeemed like & g&&d ide& @ the time. i juzt w&nt my b&ttle &f icyh&t... it'z been z& l&ng.
 ►◄► Convenience. 1/3 ◄►◄
►◄► This is awful, but at least theoretically possible in most cases. If I remember correctly the reverse modus was one of the middling releases- some of them shipped with options to change what setting is considered as an opposite. If you have the universal one they released later then it probably would be easy as long as you have the mental energy to justify how something is an opposite. Try switching it with something that, when applied to carapace or skin, would make it ache or numb. Bleach or raw sopor powder comes to mind. ◄►◄
 ►◄► Simplicity. 2/3 ◄►◄
►◄► One of the Modi with simple instructions on the surface but it still requires you to switch items, which sucks. Have you tried getting around this by captchalogging "nothing?" I believe I saw a forum somewhere where a troll with a reverse line modus found it easy to bypass the restriction by switching things with mass, with things that do not have mass, i.e. 'nothing. Later releases seem to have patched this out though' ◄►◄
 ►◄► Scrutability. 2/3 ◄►◄
►◄► Not the most inscrutable, but the reverse modus was released around the time Distant Rim Tech. was going through their early metaphysical phase, so it has some inherent inscrutability. ◄►◄
 ►◄► 5/10, ok modus. ◄►◄

1 have two, but 1 prefer th1s one. Captcha Modus. 1t's actua11y one of the o1der mode1s. 1t sh1pped w1th the or1g1na1 array.
 ►◄► Convenience. 3/3 ◄►◄
►◄► The Picture Captcha Modus was made before the Fetch Modi got really strange, by all accounts it was middling in convenience back then, but as the Modi continued to be produced, their increasing bizzarity has retroactively made this model very convenient by comparison. The ability to tell what card has what in it as well as selecting any at any time makes it just the Array Modus with extra room with minimal tradeoffs. ◄►◄
 ►◄► Simplicity. 2/3 ◄►◄
►◄► By far one of the simplest modi, its a real shame that they're not produced anymore. ◄►◄
 ►◄► Scrutability. 3/3 ◄►◄
►◄►As scrutable as can be with one exception being the mildly unnerving aspect of the photos used for captchas. I hear their perturbing nature is why they fell out of fashion. Modern unnatural algorithm technology would certainly improve it. You still know exactly what is in what card and when you can use it. That is scrutable enough for me. ◄►◄
 ►◄► 9/10, good modus. ◄►◄
