what they didn’t tell you as a child is that you will spend your whole life trying to replicate the same unconditional happiness you so effortlessly experienced back then and that it will never quite feel the same no matter how hard you try

So I thought it would be cool to write poems about Valoris because I love them so much and it’s not a usual thing… actually I haven’t seen anyone do this and I hope I’m not gonna get any hate for doing so and that some of you will even like it😅

This first one is quite sad but I kinda like it ._.

(The whole idea is Boris saying all this about Valery after his death)

If only

If only I could feel your touch

If only I could taste you like the first time again

If only you could see my deepening desire for

All your curve and very edge

If only it was someone else

That they took away that very afternoon

If only I could be where

You have no choice but to spend your days alone

If only we could have a few more minutes left

Just to tell you, you’re beautiful

Then I could hold on tightly to your hand

And capture your lips a hundred last times in a row

If only I wasn’t so afraid

To do something tragically irreversible

Just to show you that I really was made

To protect you until the very end

But my return has it’s onerous cost

Or whoever who’s up there

If I could switch our roles

Just to keep you here for a little longer

It’s selfish I know very well

Wanting you to stay whilst I know you’d suffer

But maybe our roads can’t lead to the same end

And I can’t stand to let you go without saying goodbye again
