The Hollywood ghost club production of Cats the Musical has been living rent free in my head for months. I think thematically it fits really well with their worldview in some very fun ways AND like. The ✨Spectacle!✨ of it all.

Macavity is about. a ghost. That's what the joke of the song becomes. Macavity can levitate. Macavity can commit crimes and then be suddenly, mysteriously, gone. It's about ghost organized crime, rather like the venue in which Cats is currently being illegally performed.

Caleb as Mr. Mistoffelees is at least 30% of why i like this crossover. Of course he's playing Mistoffelees. Look at the man. It's not visible in the drawing, but his shoes are also white, matching his gloves, to make him a cat with white feet.

Okay so I've spent like a good 2 hours finding posts about Netflix's newest... Jerk move... By canceling Julie and the Phantoms.

There's a bunch of petitions to sign but there's also one thing I found out we can do, we can go to Netflix they have a request form where we can request they bring back Julie and the phantoms.

Apparently that's what they did for sense8 when Netflix canceled it (my older sister told me and we've been talking about it for the past hour when she found out)

So spread the word to try and bring it back.

This show means a lot to me. It helped me find myself when I was trying to grieve the loss of my grandfather who taught me it was cool to be myself. Its also got the most representation I've seen. I mean a gay ghost with anxiety? Close platonic friendships? Close family who aren't always arguing? Latinos that aren't completely stereotyped? People who can both sing, dance and play sports (troy from HSM must be jealous)?

But seriously its a great show and a lot of people really want it back.

Uh oh, I’m thinking about the fact that it’s not just us, the older fanbase, who are finding out about the cancellation today.

It’s the little boy who saw Willie and Alex and realised that it’s normal for him to have a crush on the boy he sees in the playground sometimes.

It’s the young kids who have lost a parent and seen Julie power through it, reminding them that they can make it through too.

It’s the little girl, the one Madison said herself she wanted to inspire, seeing someone just like her as the strong female lead character on a show.

It’s the budding musicians and artists, the little kids learning to skateboard, and any other young child who watched this show and has to come to terms with the fact that they won’t see any more of it.

It’s countless other children. This show must have been such a central part of their growth, whether they realise that now or not. And it’s gone.
