Help two disabled trans girls have food and make rent and find employment
Hi again, i'm very tired of making these posts, hopefully this should be the last one. my last interview went good so hopefully this is good news but they're taking a long time to get back to me so i'm really worried.
either way though in the meantime, i'll need to buy special shoes for the job and pay for transportation there until my first paycheck comes in. assuming this happens at all. and either way we still need food while we wait for the news
please consider helping us out, i'm dying to reach the end of this road

i just have absolutely no patience left for anyone constructing a caricature of a ""binary trans woman"' that they can lecture about having a simplistic/essentialist/whatever view of gender. like whatever your intention was it is always going to come across as thinking of trans woman as too fucking stupid to have developed complex and individual relationships to and ideas about gender

one of the funniest forms of denial I've seen in the notes has been people saying "of course kris doesn't use it, it's pizza flavored." if the joke were simply that it has an unpleasant smell, the description would just say that. instead, the fact that it's for boys is mentioned twice, implying that's what stands out about it to kris the most. I myself, and I'm sure many other transfems, have received countless gifts from family members just like this body spray, and given that they always have "FOR MEN" plastered across them in big, bold letters, they've always sat on the counter or tucked away in a cabinet, unused
furthermore, even if we assume that susie is correct about it being asriel's, why is it almost entirely full? I acknowledge we haven't actually seen asriel in deltarune, but if he's similar in personality to his undertale counterpart (as all of the returning undertale characters have been), does this seem like the kind of thing he would like, either? asriel, at his core, is gentle and delicate. why would he have any interest in such an aggressively masculine hygiene product? clearly he doesn't, as if it was his, he didn't even take it to college with him. arguing that it belongs to asriel is not the counterpoint that you think it is, as it just implies that asriel is transfem
deltarune begins by discarding the appearance and name you choose, then immediately proceeds to show the protagonist being called the name their mother likely chose for them. at school, they encounter susie, an outcast who's treated as a deadly monster (even by her teacher) despite the fact that she never follows through on her violent threats. kris and susie are then forced by their teacher to go into the closet, a dark place whose residents are oppressed by wider society. there, they meet ralsei, who initially covers his entire face and body with a cloak and tells them with an air of resignation that he's been waiting his entire life to meet them so he can fulfill the role of the prince of darkness that's been forced upon him. it's difficult to read it as anything other than a transfem allegory, and I struggle to imagine the kind of cognitive dissonance it would require to understand it as anything else

deltarune is suchhhhh a transgender story like there's no other way to describe the path it's taken. Kris, yes being nonbinary, but also struggling with what they're "supposed" to do versus what they actually Want to do. Susie being considered monstrous, scary and an outcast, and choosing her own path by choosing to be the girl who finds love. Ralsei knowing the "prophecy" and how things are supposed to happen but he* can't help but want to be different, to be free, to be something new.
*using he/him for ralsei in a "that's what the character currently goes by, but I don't believe that's what the character wants at heart" kind of way.

from decolonising trans/gender 101 by b. binaohan. this one passage is such a clear articulation of what pisses me off abt the transunity “we’re all oppressed” shit that tmes try to pull every time a woman talks abt anything

I posted this in the replies of a post recently but I feel like actually posting it so fuck it
This is all purely anecdotal, and I’d love for someone to do a study on this in some capacity but that’s probably not gonna happen so whatever. I’ve noticed pretty consistently that trans spaces I’ve been in lean heavily majority transmasc, particularly when they skew younger (eg college campus trans groups) and that on average transmascs seem to come out younger than transfems. To be extremely clear this is not a complaint, but rather an observation
And for a while now I’ve been pretty sure I know the reason for this. Generally, people who are afab have more leeway for gender expression when they’re teenagers than people who are amab do. This, obviously is not universal. There are many communities whose misogyny includes not letting those they perceive as women dress in pants or suits, etc. However, communities such as those are also just as harsh and violent to those they perceive as men wearing women’s clothes. Whereas, in communities where afab people dressing in pants, suits, etc is accepted, the same for amab people wearing dresses, skirts, makeup, etc is very rarely as accepted.
The end result is this: transfems rarely have our eggs cracked young, because what that often requires is an initial moment of gender euphoria. Dysphoria is far harder to recognize when it’s your baseline, and you’ve never experienced euphoria before. So, young transfem eggs rarely have the experience of trying on clothes that make them feel like the girls they are, whereas such moments seem more common for young transmasc eggs.
This, I think, is one of several reasons that the whole language and culture of “eggs” skews almost exclusively towards encompassing transfems. Our moments of exploring gender expression are rarer and later in life, and stand out so much because of the stigma and insecurity that surrounds them.
I think this is one of several disconnects that some tme people are having with the currently ongoing egg discourse. Transfem eggs often don’t have an opportunity to explore gender presentation ourselves, so we often require someone else to extend a hand and give us an opportunity to try on dresses or try out she/her pronouns or just make a part of us we’ve buried so deeply feel seen. It’s so much of a longer process to reach that point on our own.
To be clear again, none of this is to say that transmascs have it easy, or anything of the sort. Our transitions take different paths, and I think there will always be a disconnect if transfems’ paths to coming out aren’t viewed through the context of how limited our options are.

99% of the time someone "falsely accused of being transphobic" is the most rabid transphobe imaginable who barely hides it behind girlblogger coquette aesthetics and then the other 1% of the time it's a trans woman being DARVO'd by her ex, and you'd NEVER guess which one people decide to 100% take their word for.
