dark sun n baby moon au is very cute! it gave me the thought of their lil ray hat sliding off and the baby just cries until its put back on cause they like to match their parent; like they don't feel complete without it (even if they don't realize it yet cause they baby)

Moons do seem to typically prefer wearing something on their head, the expected fashion is just usually nightcaps or jester hats. So to the Baby Moon it's not that he is yet aware of the shape of his hood - is just he needs the comfort of wearing something, once he got used to it.
Do enjoy!

preorders for my size inclusive, ethically made petticoats are open until august 28! these underlayers are a fan favorite for a reason: the satin skirt is smooth to and cooking against the skin and the stiff tulle adds the perfect amount of volume without being heavy or hot. my petticoat leftovers sell out super fast so don’t miss the preorder window!

Day 1
Dear Hunith,
your son has safely reached Camelot, which I think is most unfortunate. I am plagued with questions over your reasoning for sending him here. He's betrayed his secret with me five seconds through the door of my apartments; had there been a patient there, I would be writing you for arrangements for his remains. He also seems, from bits of our conversation, unaware of his father's identity but that seems too odd to be true to me, considering you of all people should know very well what sleeps underneath the castle.
I shall try to keep his as safe as possible, but please, call him back home. My heart could hardly take much more of this,
Gaius
Day 2
Dear Hunith,
Your menace of a son is in jail.

On the subject about parents needing to control their child's reading and invade their privacy in order to "protect" them from "inappropriate material:
Until I was in....college? At least? The vast, vast majority of the books I read were either a) assigned by my school or b) (the vast majority of my reading) provided to me by my mother.
My mom is a librarian. She filled our rooms with books, picked especially for us. She pointed out books on the shelves in our home library (separate from our bedroom shelves) that she thought we would like. She bought us books for birthdays, Christmas, and just stacks of recommendations. She once paid me $10 to read one of the Cirque Du Freak books because she said I needed "to be exposed to bad literature."
She respected my privacy in room, didn't go through my belongings. She explicitly pointed out to us that she wouldn't know if we took a particular book of the shelf, as long as we returned it, if we didn't want her to know we were reading it. She purposely brought us books that she didn't care for herself, because she thought we might find them valuable or enjoyable.
And if we wanted to read something she thought might upset or disturb us, she would explain why. She wouldn't stop us from reading it - just ask us to check in with her, to talk through it.
And so when I read something that upset or disturbed me, I would go to her. She would listen and talk through it with me.
If she said she didn't think I would like something, or that a book might disturb me, or that she thought I should wait until I was older, I listened to her.
She didn't need restrictions or control to protect me. Because she proved I could trust her.
Controlling kids is never about "protecting" them. It's just about control.

i think part of the reason lost media videos are so fun is that it more ethically scratches the same itch as true crime. a bunch of people online being amateur sleuths and going down rabbit holes is a lot easier to enjoy when theyre looking for a cereal commercial from 1991 instead of liike bothering the families of murder victims

Another dream comic. Had a dream where I was tied to a chair in a dark room and some hooded figures killed me after I begged for my life—but then I got caught in a time loop and so I kept trying to figure out what I could say to get them to not shoot me but they killed me no matter what I said. Started just shouting random stuff eventually.
