I worked on a bunch of topic’s since i last wrote so i sum it up in short:
i put some elbow grease in to notion.so to have a cloud notetaking app.
some more Linux privileg escalation
radare2 with x86-64 assembly language
easy CTF Lian_YU mostly web enumeration and some stenography with suid escalation
got to know about yara a malware analysis tool
Server Side Template Injection
Started a Windows Blueteam course for investigating infected Windows machines
Buffer overflow preparation
Writing it down:
I have done a ton of stuff, from completing my move to a new home beyond that was trying to get back to my daily workout routine. At one time my VM smoked away so i had to start all over again. Creating a new subsystem for my Cybersecurity studies. Furthermore i traveled a lot. Visited my mom and my best friend. Took some time to wander through my old citty and had a great time with my litte brother. Some more or less workload at work on me. Also started to organize more of my routine and i will keep improving on that.
What would I have liked to have done differently in this hole time?

I feel like i work against windmills, it feels like everyday is just another day of working in the field, but nothing comes around. I was watching a lot of usless videos at work to prevent myself from falling asleep.

Writing it down:
Today i got a “Thank you for you’re work” and i had nothing better to say as “Someone has to do it”, i don’t know why but i felt kind of lost in this moment, sometimes i have the feeling that i don’t do enough and then i get reminded that just doing my work and to do tasks that others order me to do, often is enough. So afterward i got my vaccine and now i’ll see if muffins shoot out of my nose. I stayed away from smoking, this is somewhat of progress and also i got myself up to do a litte bit more, just babysteps!
What would I have liked to have done differently today?

i feel like i’v been back in 2020... watching my progress i mean i’m back on one month but it feels very bad...

Writing it down: Man, i have to work on my motivation, i don’t get myself up anymore. I forgot to mention that i started to game more and watch series, i don*t know what i enjoy more... Furthermore is the problem that i feel bad make such litte progress and fight hard for every inch i make.

I got some thing down, but i was lacking the concentration to focus myself to work properly... I was watching at some Server side Template injection, Working with Django, using the Mitre Framework and refocused on pivoting through the wreath network. Writing it down: It was a bloody mess the last day’s. I worked my ass of to move my stuff from my old flat to my new one. Had to travel one day to it, clean the most of it, reorganize my things, pack them together and moved them with my brother. After a long road trip i stayed at my mom’s house. After this i finally saw my best friend for two days after one and a half year of not seeing each other. This was awesome! After that i had to travel all the way back to my work, i was traveling more than 10 hours... The next day i had to get off early to let myself check up for my coming career change. Now i have the next to weeks of more organizing and working ahead of myself. Of curse after landing at work, i saw my carefully created workflow torn apart... I spend the hole day fixing all the fires that stared after i left for the moving.
What would I have liked to have done differently today?
not writing it all down for the last day’s
i smoked again...

Working through it all makes me feel that i someday will be past all of this and can finally have a relaxing live wiht out the permanent struggle of keeping chaos away from me. I had a good talk today with a mate of mine about the relationship we have with our job, he was eager to prove that he is motivated and competent. I told him that giving now 120% and next week only 10% is what the most people do, and that i hope that he is not this kind of guy. I saw to many of this worktypes...

The day started with the struggle of being alive and i have the feeling that it is not over jet... After running out of motivation for the day, i fought against my bad habits, this was a bloody mess, i overdrank coffee and had to much of bad food, after that i stood there as a man who had not smoked after he was off it but had to start again, just to get dragged down fucking easy, so this fight was over but i lost a couple more on other battlefields... What would I have liked to have done differently today?

Learned a Ton about passwords and started a powershell workout, thought this could get me somewhere.
Writing it down:
The last three days were absolute horror. I could get some things done. But i traveled for more than 8 hours, help in a medical emergency wich took the cost of just 1hour sleep after all this went down. So the day after i wanted to go to bed early but had another 12 hour shift ahead of me. So after getting this done and worked my ass off. I had a party next door, so i couldn’t get fully rested. If this was not enough... today was a nother medical emergency that had to taken care of. So all in all, i had very very busy day’s and still managed to get at least my streak hold up. This one goal against all the odds...
What would I have liked to have done differently today?

Refreshed my Html, js skills als the injection of that. worked more on the Password room, just to find out again that math is hard...
Writing it down:
Traveling, was on my list for today, 9 hours travel. It was fine to ride the train, these days it’s pretty comfortable to do this. I had a meetup with a friend, it was shaking to find out what has happened in her life. I have to work through a lot today. But all in all it felt good to see her.
What would I have liked to have done differently today?
finishing my message, not stopping while i was writing.

It was a very busy day. After managing all my moving out stuff i had to manage one of my mates, the whole team and the friends of mine. That took so long that i even forgot to eat my breakfast, nearly forgot to eat lunch. I was so into it, that i though i could do more. So i did after 10 p.m. i was finally done with the day and had time to work on my education... with no power of focus at all... What would I have liked to have done differently today?

Started the Offensive Pentesting Course, will have at least till the 8th April to finish this. I’ll do my best. So my first mission is the Room steel mountain. First i scanned with Nessus to see what kind of magic this tool has to offer. Its a windows room, with a vulnerable ftp server. So i stared to work through the exploit, a simple python script that injects a command to download a file from my web server to this machine and after that to execute this file with given parameters. Setting this up was quite a challenge.
Writing it down:
A day with an hour less. It was a waste, i was totally wrecked from my running yesterday. Also had to manage some of my people. I worked through my pile of stuff and after that i came to a point where i lost my motivation to do anything. But i gained the uplifting wind of smile from some of my mates, so i casted that on to other people and this made me feel good. I took it on to me to plan my next week and engage with new thing that had to be done.
What would I have liked to have done differently today?

What a grind... Day 107

Working on my education:
Todays TryHackMe Rank : 2403 I finished the Burpsuite room and got the basics down. I had a litte changing in my mind, it doesn’t felt that awkward to work with it. I even felt a litte bit comfortable with it.
After that i finished another room, and completed with this my first learning path to Cybersecurity. Nessus is a nice litte program to do automated scans and security audits. I played around with it and got some nice vibes. So here we go:

It was a long weekend. I used to sleep way to long, but i feel that i need some recovering from all that working. 12hour shifts, sport and doing something for my education. This is a grindy way of getting by. So i got in my spare time the old way’s of being back in my head. I fought against it but did not manage to do it as I had imagined. Two days of just getting by. It felt good, but somehow also wasteful. After wasting so much time, i had to get some privat stuff done. I worked on some money transfers and my moving. Feels good to get some thing off my to-do-list.
What would I have liked to have done differently today?
had a smoke again, fuck i have to quit this!

Finished the OWASP juice shop room, to work with html xss and header manipulation was a welcome and refreshing tastk, also did more Burp suite.
Writing it down:
Working with my new team was a good start. Had to manage more work than i wanted but it was manageable. Also had some nice last moment with a mate of mine, that i had kind of put in to a special place inside my heart. Good funny mate with special character.
What would I have liked to have done differently today?

Started working more intensive with Burp suite and getting deeper into the Juice shop. I nearly finished my first cert.

So i have the chance to be a good team leader again, I’ll prove that I’m able to manage more than 10 people. Also i got i fantastic assessment from my boss. So all in all this day was great.

Started to get better knowledge of Kerberos and Rubeus. Got a litte deeper in that juicy windows active directory with that. I mean this is most likely the standard for almost every company network, so getting good at this seems to be a good time investment.
Writing it down: A good wisdom that opened my eyes a litte bit wider for the future: When we observe someone or we think we are observing something we have the impression that we are looking at the object of our observation through a magnifying glass, or at least through a transparent glass. In fact, we usually look into a mirror. This is a principle i have been following for a long time without ever having put it into words. It’s good to see that other people are aware and i can go with the knowledge of being understood by at least some other humans.
