Mostly a resevoir of quotes I find particularly salient in things I read. Hopefully to serve as a kind of map of connections and conversations among various texts. A point of reference for myself, and hopefully a source of information or direction for the reader. Currently listening to Lacan, Spinoza, Marx, and contemporary work in critical theory. At least I try. quotes usually tagged "quoteXX" In which the xx would be the year. Eg. a quote posted in 2017 would be "quote17".

this is said by the creep who poses as a sympathetic ear and uses his pseudo-intellectual garbage to come across as caring but tries to rape her at the end.

deleuze already said this
“Today’s society is no longer Foucault’s disciplinary world of hospitals, madhouses, prisons, barracks, and factories. It has long been replaced by another regime, namely a society of fitness studios, office towers, banks, airports, shopping malls, and genetic laboratories. Twenty-first-century society is no longer a disciplinary society, but rather an achievement society. Also, its inhabitants are no longer “obedience-subjects” but “achievement-subjects.” They are entrepreneurs of themselves.”
— Byung-chul Han, The Burnout Society

m yes, brick by brick, baby
Folks have got to understand that they probably aren't messed up by some Secret Big Trauma that they just can't remember; but rather by a million tiny microtraumas that they do mostly remember but don't even register as traumatic because nobody actually understood that these things would cause trauma, much less stack on each other over the years.

hello,
but I hate that I'm here to report that I think there's a difference in liquor laws here that is so dissorienting.
Like, I used to not even KNOW them anymore. but maybe you even should? if that concerns you on some level? to kind of like compare? anyway,
because sobriety, and covid changes, all that.
omg notification of draft saved like hi ai is monitoring you! everything you're doing is being recorded! in the akashic records! lol, that's why I'm here. to be gin with. begin. be gin. get it? I'm not even on that level but it's funny.
also, I think for next writing sample, maybe the convenience store clerks like how Nihan wrote about the door man.
so anyway, I don't even know if this is true, but you can't buy alcohol at places past midnight in Chicago. unless at a bar or something.
and in Minnesota it was like you couldn't buy alcohol outside liquor stores.
and here, here I am craving something more and I look it up and you can buy BEER up until like 4 am! that's crazy!
THATS why I have such a hard time finding wine! maybe happy middle ground foregone? maybe new plateau found where I truly become my ugly alcoholic uncles with beer bellies and sallow faces and muddy skin? and it's not just he beauty. it's the everything else. you can be ugly and do good. you can be beautiful and do wicked. that's the moral I think.
because I feel ugly, but I get a lot sex.

If my body has some kind of natural intelligence If there is a god If this is what is suppose to be happening If the future is as set in brick as the past If synchrony is diachrony If there only is this If there only is now If my body has some kind of natural intelligence Is this the course I’m suppose to go? What is the now pointing to? From linear to square From 1d to 2d To the vectoral Sect to vect Sex and vex
How can I alter the now? How can the now be altered? Without my (or any kind) of interference whatsoever? Is it all just in my head? Is it body against bodies? Thoughts against thoughts? Is there no communication?
How can I know that what I’m feeling right NOW is REAL? But is the tension and pull between the symbolic and the imaginary the erotic? The fantastic? Fantasy icon fixation fetish. Pin. Pique
That was the wordle of the day. The world. Of the day The physical the spiritual the erotic The real the symbolic the imaginary
How do you GET OFF? I want to get off Mr Bone’s wild ride.
