Translations for Strade’s Text in This Is Not Romance
I gathered all of this shit, so here we go. Also, apologies in advance because this is going to be a very long post.
***DISCLAIMER: All of this belongs to @gatobob ***
**WARNING: CONTAINS BLOOD, GORE, AND OTHER TRIGGERING THEMES.**
“You should be more careful.”
“Come on, there’s a couple live ones down there.”
“NOW.”
“Ha, I see you back there. Come out and play!”
“N-No! Wait! Don’t-”
“Get over here, pet.”
“Come here.”
“I want to see some girl on girl.” (This possibly refers to Raven?)
“You’re disobeying me?”
“Really?”
“I’m wondering what good you are to me alive, then. I bet I could keep the important parts warm.”
“Hahaha! Run!”
The machines read “Beg” and “Cry.” Nice touch, Gato.
“Wai-”
“Se…lin…”
“You belong to me. FOREVER!”
This page is a bit of a trip, so I’m going to break it up into pieces.
[EMERGENCY] PERSONAL DATA BACKUP.”
“Place hand. Remove personal lock. > Your body may not be recoverable in emergency situations.”
“Fully armed.”
Also, the very left side of the screen only has the decipherable letters “…narmed.”
“Selin! Selin! Look! It’s Strade~”
I hope this helped anyone that wanted to know what these said and didn’t have access to translate it themselves. Also, for the Strade addicts that need to know every little bit about Strade.

From the three titles (TINR, BTD, and TPOF), which characters are "MCDONALD'S!! MCDONALD'S!! MCDONALD'S!!", which are "We have food at home.", and which are *pulls into drive thru, orders a single black coffee, and leaves*?

why were Laws clothes disheveled when you woke up in some paths, but not others?
If I remember correctly [ it has been an awfully long time ], Lawrence’s clothing when you wake up is actually determined by his Sanity stat. If it’s too low, he won’t have dressed properly.

I was having a debate a while back, does Strade not shower, or is he just prone to greasy hair? Also, if he doesnt shower, does that have to do with the fact that hes an anarchist?
Ah, the shower question again xD
Strade actually does shower and engage in normal hygiene practices. However, his over excitability [ he sweats more ] and his often messy lifestyle tend to make his appearance deteriorate faster than a regular person.

Hi Gato! I was looking for an image of strade but i cant find it anywhere. Its the one where strade is back to life (lich strade i believe?) and he has ren under him
I have a couple pics like that and they’re both already posted on my pillowfort account!
https://www.pillowfort.social/Gatobob
That’s where you can continue to find my NSFW art since Pillowfort is dedicated to continuing to allow NSFW and adult content. Pillowfort has also gone on record saying that they’re dedicated to remaining their own company- not selling to larger companies or selling shares- so they won’t suddenly have a ‘change of heart’.
You can view my art without an account but if you’d like one, it’s either $5 or you can get an invite from someone- and people are giving away free invites all the time in forum posts and twitter threads :D The invite-or-pay method will keep the place free from bots!

Also this one is public, besides the obvious that everyone is yknow. evil and dangerous and Bad,, do you think the love interest (murderer interests?) would respect their victims pronouns and stuff? Im nonbinary so yknow! id rather not be killed BECAUSE of my identity,, i dunno if it makes sense i just dont wanna think they'd use heavy slurs regarding that (or race). If its a too heavy topic, you can reply privately!
Most of my characters would be properly respectful of those things [ despite all the other awful shit they do ].
Ren would be the most respectful and actually understand most subtle things right off the bat. He’s more savvy with the internet and people.
Lawrence would be respectful but might end up doing or saying something stupid out of ignorance once- he’s just not as savvy and knowing about how different people can be, but he can be corrected. For instance, he might use an incorrect pronoun even if a person had a pin on their shirt, because he wouldn’t understand the pin at first, but after having it explained he would say the right thing.
Strade might fully understand, and he’d actually be more savvy than lawrence, but in some circumstances he might purposely act ignorant if it seems to panic his victim more. For instance, cutting off a victim’s binder to purposely make them less comfortable. He’s less ignorant in this regard and more just an asshole.
None of them would target or kill someone specifically because of their identity. Honestly I think my only ‘killer’ type character that would target/be more hostile based on a person’s identity would be Celia [ from my upcoming game ] who is blatantly sexist towards anyone who identifies as male.

So just a question that came to me recently. Since food tends to go bad and rot around Lawrence more quickly than normal, theoretically if a person were to spend too much time around lawrence would they start to rot even if not dead? As technically human meat is just that, meat.
The ‘rotting effect’ caused by lawrence’s proximity is caused by hyper-activity of any carrion eating species of organism [ such as insects, fungi, and bacteria ]. The effect is kind of like a black hole, where anything sort of near him is driven wild by a mysterious ‘aura’ of enticing carrion- but approaching too close to lawrence actually causes the organism to die [ hence why lawrence isn’t rotting while he walks ]. The effect only persists while he is ‘alive’ however, and when he is in the River, his body does succumb to normal decomposition.
This effect would generally not affect living creatures, since a living person is not technically ‘just meat’. We are filled with active energy, electricity, pumping blood, food and waste, and even cultures of symbiotic microbes. Our living cells and processes naturally fight off any invader. Living cells and tissues do not attract most carrion eating organisms.

If pushed to their very limits, which btd character would be most aggressive?
Lawrence definitely out of the 3 BTD guys. He’s not normally aggressive but when he’s pushed far it can get REALLY bad.
If I include Hunt characters for fun, I actually might say Celia- and she might end up more dangerous because it wouldn’t be a raw rage like Lawrence but a more cool-headed absolute determination to do harm in any way possible.

Hey! This question was answered before, but I remember you saying your characters are not canonically tied to the second game canon. A friend insists they are. Could you please confirm again? I apologize for the trouble! Please take care! Ó w Ò
I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking but I’ll try my best:
I consider my characters that I wrote and drew into BTD1 and 2 to be canon. BTD2 is Lawrence’s canon, BTD1 and 2 are Ren’s canon. Strade is a bit of a strange situation since I originally created him in the universe of my webcomic This Is Not Romance [TINR] but later used him in BTD. I consider the two version and universes separate, but equally canon. There are simply 2 versions of Strade.
I do not however consider Farz’s appearance in BTD2 canon. I didn’t write him, and I didn’t draw him. If I could go back in time, I would remove his cameo. I don’t like how he was used in BTD2, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. I only consider his appearance in TINR canon.

Sorry if this is a stupid answer and someone probably asked this already, but who is the deadliest character out of BTD?
If we’re going by number of confirmed kills within the games, then technically it’s MC.

I know you said you don't like babies in the BTD universe but I was wondering since Lawrence is dead would he still even be able to reproduce or is it game over down there?
He’s shooting blanks.

Hey there! Was Strade able to have a one night stand or stay a bit with someone just for drinks and fun without actually killing this person? Or his desires are absolutely over everything and all of his flirts MUST end up bloody? Hope you're doing ok Gato, thanks for feeding us with curiosities for so long xD
I’m afraid he really doesn’t have a taste for plain romantic outings!

I swear on my life that Lawrence wears a sweater (Or apparently its called a zip up hoodie but I'm Canadian and all my fellow Canadian friends call it a sweater) but my American friend is saying he wears a jacket and -??? I just want your take on this cause if thats apparently a jacket I'm gonna maybe scream
I assume you’re talking about his outfit in the game-
It’s not a jacket. But I’m also Canadian and I definitely call it a zip up hoodie, not a sweater 🤣

You know, I was always surprised that Law is so easy to kill, when you get in a situation to do so, given his. nature. But in any of those, he just gets up again later? Does he try and find you again if you kill him and escape? also! Is he /supernaturally/ strong, or is he just wiry beef- and does he stay that way as his body continues to give out?
He would get up, and yeah, he would likely try and find you again.
He’s not supernaturally strong, just ‘wiry beef’ [ good description ]. However, in the future, if his flesh were to give way, well, I can’t speak to that.
