here’s another look at an unseen side of my desk. as finals approach, I abandon my love for an empty desk and let the chaos pile up. sometimes you just need four different candles, an oil diffuser, and used matches to watch you study.

I hope you all had a lovely festive winter break (if you had one at all). If you’re at all like me this time of year can be very hard; if it was I hope you found some peace in these last few weeks despite everything. I had a couple of weeks off from the internet world –– coming back feeling a lot more clear-headed and wondering if maybe this is something I should take up more. Are you thinking about resolutions yet, promises for the new year? Any good ones? For now I’m just enjoying cold walks, a little fresh coffee, wrapping up in bed with a good book 🕊🕯✨

i was supposed to work on a lesson tonight but my headache is killing me + my throat still hurts and i seriously need to sleep early. a part of me feels guilty for not being “productive” today but i’ll still choose to rest early, work can wait.

10.19.2018 | Fall intensive week is over, but that just means it’s time to use my “reading break” to review the Greek nouns system and chip away at some church history reading I’ve been meaning to finish. If anyone was wondering, seminary is still pretty grand.

I like to think books take you to places you have never visited before. I like to think that they are some kind of escape from reality, pushing us towards our utmost desires. I like to think I emobody the literature I read and the libraries that engulf me.

i had a pretty tiring day today but today’s history lecture about the 18th century was super interesting. before the lecture i also started listening to this audiobook about different myths and conceptions people have about the middle ages and why those myths are incorrect.

day 8 - what is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion?

the way this community can be so supportive and encouraging. also all the amazing friends i have made through this community, i appreciate you all so much! studyblr has helped me make studying more interesting and enjoyable, and it has also given me amazing study tips. in conclusion: all the motivation and positivity it has given me!
