i vaguely remember reading a post talking about how merle would remember a fragment of a memory and offhandedly mention it, and everyone would go ??? and he would also go ??? and then its forgotten.

[id: a three-panel comic featuring taako, magnus, and merle from the adventure zone: balance. taako is a petite elf with light brown skin, golden freckles, long braided brown hair, blue eyes, and gold-and-silver earrings. he’s wearing a purple, star-flecked wizard hat and long-sleeved shirt with bare shoulders, white pants and socks, and purple slip-on shoes. his nails are painted pink. magnus is a muscular, scarred human with light brown skin, red hair tied into a ponytail, big sideburns, and a little goatee. he’s wearing a red shirt and a bandanna, a brown vest, khakis, and black boots. his fingernails are painted purple. merle is a dwarf with dark brown skin, white hair that’s tied back with a big pink flower, a white beard, a light blue hawaiian shirt, gray shorts, and sandals with socks. there are small pink flowers in his beard.

in the first panel, magnus is looking away, his arms crossed, idly whistling, while taako examines his nails. merle brightly exclaims, “I have a couple friends who are liches =)”.

in the second panel, magnus quizzically stares at merle. “what?” he asks, and merle responds, “what?” in return, looking confused. taako is looking at them with a frown.

in the third panel, it is a wider shot of the three of them. merle rubs at his beard in confusion, his head surrounded by question marks. magnus and taako look at each other, worried and skeptical respectively. end id]

the sillies
