Lily stood on the side of the set with her basket of goodies in tow. She decided to visit her real life fairy godmother at work and had to wait behind the curtains until they finished filming. “Surprise,” she smiled at Charlotte and gave her a long hug when she came off set. “I brought some baked goods for the crew.” @monroecharlotte
When the show cut for the day, Charlotte was surprised to see Lilith standing there. “Hey you, I didn’t think I’d be seeing you here,” she said with a grin, giving the young woman a tight hug. “Oh, they’re going to love you for that. I love you for that. What kind of baked goods?”

“Five dollars,” she replied. Chase shrugged slightly, “I’m doing okay, working a lot, I’ve been hanging out with Alicia bunches. How are you, especially with her back?” she asked.
“Just five?” she asked. “Okay. That’s a really good deal,” she said, handing over a five dollar bill. “I’m glad she’s had your company. I think you’re a good influence for her to have around,” she said. Charlotte shrugged. “I’m okay. It’s nice to have her back.”

🍕 - our muses get some pride food together - chase & charlotte ( @monroecharlotte )
“Thank you”, Chase signed to the other after buying a carton of strawberries. She was helping her parents with the stall they were running at the pride festival. Chase turned to Charlotte who she saw approach. “Hey,” she said, signing also to her clan leader, “Here to get some strawberries?”
“Hi,” Charlotte replied, being aware to sign back to the younger fairy with her responses. “I am. They look delicious. How much for a two cartons?” she asked in sign, scoping out all the delicious strawberries. She figured she might as well grab a few, they wouldn’t likely last long in the house, and she was a sucker for dipping them in chocolate. “How are you doing?”

Alicia looked away as the couple kissed. Before she’d died, even when she was rebelling, she admired her mothers’ love a lot and aspired to it. She knew from watching beyond the grave that their relationship wasn’t entirely solid but she wasn’t in a place to comment on it. She just wanted to have a happy day with her parents. She nodded, “Yes! Very excited. I’ve missed Pride! What are we going to do first?”
“First I need to feed my favorite ladies then we can do whatever you want,” they said, cheerily. Waverly knew that Alicia being back didn’t solve all of their problems but they wanted to have a day where everything was perfect. Today will be that day… they hoped. They opened the door, leading them out of the house. “Should we walk or do you think there will be parking?”
“I think I’m okay on the food part,” Charlotte replied with a small shrug. “But I agree, whatever you want. You let us know, and we’ll do it and make it happen,” she stated with a smile. “I think we should walk. Certain areas will be blocked off anyhow for the festival and the parade, so instead of dealing with traffic and such, we can use our legs.”

“How do I look?” Alicia said, doing a little twirl for her parents with a bright smile on her face. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d felt so normal. She had been to Pride before and it had been a few years. Not to mention this was the first town event where she was back interracting with the real world. She felt like her old self again, getting dressed up and painting her face and getting excited about normal things.
@monroecharlotte & @waverlymonroe
“You look beautiful as always,” Waverly commented, watching their daughter twirl about. They pulled their wife in closer to them for a kiss. This is the happiest they’ve been in a long time… since losing Alicia. They wanted this moment cemented in their memory and never to let go of it. It was their first Pride as a family in years.
“You’re stunning. You look festive, and happy. I think it’s perfect,” Charlotte said, giving an affirmative nod to her daughter. She kissed Waverly back gently, before pulling away, not wanting to force Alicia to watch that, not to mention the fact that none of their problems had been solved and it felt odd. She was fine to try and push it away for a day though so they could celebrate love and being yourself. “Are you both excited?”

“They also, like honestly, have the hottest actors in my opinion,” she replied. “Name a hallmark movie without a hot actor or actress, trick question, you can’t.”
“Well, I don’t know about that,” Charlotte laughed. “Don’t get me wrong, they do have some very nice looking humans in them. Great faces, nice bodies. But I’ve seen hotter. Other movies definitely have hotter, but Hallmark isn’t lacking, you’re right about that part.”

“How are you holding up?” Natalie asked, giving the other woman a hug as she approached. She knew how hard it was for Charlotte and Waverly when Alicia died. But now she was back and soon, they could finally hug their daughter again. “You know I am here if you need anything.”
“There’s no holding up,” Charlotte said softly as she hugged the other woman back. “All of this has me just... I don’t even know,” she told her. “Happy that I get my daughter, but terrified about what this all means and terrified that everything is going to fall apart.”

“Look who you’re talking to,” Orlaith said with a slight laugh as she pulled out two bottles, “Whiskey or tequila?” She asked. She listened and nodded and thought for a moment before she replied, “So you’re worried about your marriage and also losing your daughter again,” she stated, gathering that much, “If it helps, Charlotte, from what I hear through the supernatural leader grapevine is that they’re not closer to getting rid of the ghosts than they were at the beginning. You’ve got time,” she paused, “Okay, I’m not saying give Waverly an utimatum because I like her but you need to talk about what it means for your daughter to be back. Maybe with your daughter too. What do you all want out of you being a family again? Because if you’re all on the same page, well… it’s a start anyway.”
“Whiskey,” Charlotte said sadly. “Yeah, I am,” she said. The blonde shook her head. “Even if they’re not getting rid of them any time soon, I am terrified. She left us, Orlaith, before she died. What if she decides that we aren’t worth being around anymore?” she asked. “I love Waverly, but I am exhausted. I don’t even know how to sit down with them to have these kinds of conversations. Waverly works all the time, and I don’t know if I can even bring any of it up without yelling or crying,” she admitted. “I don’t know what being a family could possibly look like, or how we could get that back. And honestly, not having that kind of control, or the ability to just fix everything, it hurts me. I have physical body aches from not being able to make it all okay.”

“That’s what I was thinking,” Kinsey agreed. “But also someone spoke about like cabinets and hotels and stuff like that. That adds a lot of doors.”
“Mm, I still think that there are less doors,” she said. “Sure, there are cabinets and hotels. But some cabinets are on wheels, and hotels have luggage trolleys and room service carts, so that would cancel some of those doors out for sure. There are even cots that some hotels wheel into rooms for extra people to sleep on.”

“Yeah, they are, but not there’s this whole debate going around online one which there is more in the world, wheels or doors.”
“I think I’m going to go with wheels. I mean, there’s a ton of both, but when you take into consideration cars, bikes, toy cars, shopping carts, scooters, skateboards, wheelchairs, rollerblades, all of those kind of things, I think the wheels would in theory overpower the amount of doors.”

closed starter - liv & charlotte ( @monroecharlotte )
“Hah! Bingo! Lookie what I found!” Liv said, showing it to Charlotte. “This, this is a classic. Acting sucks, but what hallmark movie has good acting?”
“Oh my god, I love that one,” Charlotte said. “Hallmark movies are terrible, they’re cheesy and predictable, and that is what makes me love them so much. Pop it in, we can whip up a little popcorn and enjoy the terrible acting.”

Orlaith pulled away, took her hand and brought her into the house. She closed the door behind her, “Coffee, tea or wine?” She asked as they stopped in the kitchen, “I don’t know if there’s a right way to handle it. This ghost thing is so unpredictable but you gotta appreciate the time you have with her, Char. Maybe you could get the closure you need from this,” she knew how much Alicia’s death had affected the other.
“Do you have anything stronger?” Charlotte asked. “If not, wine is good.” The blonde fairy shook her head, looking up at Orlaith. “There’s no right way. I told her I forgave her and that I didn’t hate her, both of which are true. But this.. My marriage has been a shit show that we’ve been patching with bandaids ever since Alicia left. When she died, my wife began working more, and I just smiled because it was all I could do and now we are nothing like the couple we once were, and I don’t know how much of that Alicia saw when she died. I don’t know if it’s possible to get closure from something that will continue to be a thing even if the ghosts go away. And I don’t even want them to go away because Orlaith, I swear, if I lose my daughter again I don’t know if I can survive that.”

“Okay, this whole wheels verses doors debacle needs to be settled somehow. If I hear one more argument at the bar about it, I’m going to honestly scream. It’s like the blue verses gold dress all over again.”
“Kinsey, sweetheart, you understand that I have no idea what any of that means, right?” Charlotte asked. “I mean, I saw the dress thing, it was blue, but I don’t know what wheels and doors debacle you’re even talking about. Aren’t both useful to every day life?”

“Your daughter?” Orlaith said, eyes wide as she stood in the doorway, “No it’s okay, it’s okay,” she pulled the woman into her arms and held her tightly, “I don’t know what to say,” she admitted, “There isn’t exactly a handbook on how to help your best friend through her daughter coming back as a ghost… but I can offer you hugs and tea - or something stronger - and someone who’ll listen.”
“My daughter,” Charlotte repeated. She leaned into her best friend’s arms and let out a quiet sob. She couldn’t talk about this with Waverly. She knew in theory she should, but she couldn’t find it in her yet to talk about it. “Thank you,” she whispered. “There’s just... s-so much going on in my head and I.. I don’t know how to handle this.”

“She’s back,” Charlotte said, not even offering so much as a hello as she stood outside of Orlaith’s front door. “Alicia. She’s back.” Charlotte wasn’t one to shoe a ton of emotions that weren’t happy ones, but she was processing and she trusted Orlaith. “She showed up at my work. I can’t touch her or hold her but I can hear her voice and I’m glad she’s here but I’m.. I don’t..” she stumbled with her words, not even sure what she wanted to say.

“You’re so right. It’s just so good. It can’t be bad, right?” she laughed, taking a little bit of the dough off of her spoon and popping it into her mouth. “Mhmm, delicious,” she nodded in approval. “These cookies are going to be all the rave.” She’d initially planned on sharing but she wanted to keep these all for herself… and of course, Charlotte.
“I love hearing people say that I’m right, so thank you,” Charlotte said with a chuckle. She took her own little ball of cookie dough and popped it into her mouth as well. It was so good, she almost didn’t want to put it in the oven. “Here’s an idea,” she said with a small smirk. “Let’s make some regular cookies, but then make a couple of really huge ones. Then we can get some ice cream while they cool, and have a hot cookie and ice cream treat.”

“I’m glad you trust me,” they kissed her softly. Waverly sat the sled down on top of the heel and smiled at the beauty that is their wife. Things hadn’t been quite the same lately… they probably wouldn’t ever be; but Wavey needed this. She needed for them to be okay. “I’m thinking together?”
Adjusting her hat on top of her head, Charlotte smiled softly. “Yeah.. me too,” she said, kissing them back gently. She glanced down the hill again, and set herself down on the sled. “Together,” she repeated. “I like that. I just hope we don’t crash.”
