 “what do you mean ‘what am I doing here’? this is the hot spot to be.” monroe teased with a small grin on her face. “i was getting a little too distracted in my room, so I thought i’d try to study and get a little work done here.” the brunette hummed softly as she opened the door up, propping it open with her foot. “after you. how was practice?” 

DONNOVAN  was  coming  out  of  practice  ,  the  wet  strands  of  his  hair  stuck  to  his  forehead  &  a  tired  smile  rested  on  his  features  ,  it  had  been  exhausting  &  he  wanted  nothing  more  but  to  lie  down  &  relax  .  the  boy  KNEW  he  had  to  study  for  a  biology  test  tomorrow  ,  which  meant  that  he’d  spend  most  of  the  night  awake  .  it  was  already  dark  outside  as  he  made  his  way  to  the  campus  library  ,  a  couple  books  in  one  hand  &  a  coffee  in  the  other  .  as  he  approached  the  doors  ,  he  spotted  a  familiar  face  ,  “  what  are  YOU  doing  here  ?  ”

“why would-- winnie, when do i ever have cash on me?” monroe chuckled softly with a soft shake of the head. “while I would never want your death on my hands, I cannot be solely responsible for this monstrosity. you were the one who didn’t have the extra dollar you needed.” she teased. “a cherry slushie does sound really good right about now... how late would you be if we went and got some?” 

the worn bottoms of winslet’s cheer shoes tapped incessantly against the pavement, her fingers drumming against her bare thighs to the beat of the song playing through her headphones. she knew there was a good chance that she’d be late for practice but right now, she was on a mission. as approaching footsteps invaded the sounds pouring through her headphones, she perked up. “oh, hey !!” she hiked her cheer bag over her shoulder before trotting over to meet them halfway. “you’re here. listen, you got a dollar ??” her eyebrow quirked up expectedly. “so i can get a slushie,” she explained. “i have practice soon and i’m telling you, i will die if i don’t get a cherry slushie first — but i only have two dollars. you know i’m good for it. —— you don’t want my death on your hands, do you ??”

"i don’t know how you didn’t notice since i’ve been standing here since the start of time.” monroe joked. “okay, listen. i know its just the start of the school year, but I'm already in some dire need of a self-care session and with that comes a girl’s night..” the brunette tilted her head softly as she looked at the other. “are you.. is everyone else late or somethin’?”

THE BEGINNING OF THE fall semester was always a busy time for most of the student body. considering practice was underway for both the football team and cheersquad. finally getting her hands on the brand new uniforms ?? mona was on top of the world. she doesn’t actually have practice today, but that doesn’t stop her from being out on the turf and getting some sort of workout in. her head’s at her knees as she reaches forward, feeling her back slowly stretch. when she lifts up, the sunny day is blocked out completely by the person standing in front of her. “ hm—?? ” it’s a curious sound, looking upwards towards the culprit. “ how long have you been standing there ?? ”

Quick Facts:

monroe was born and raised in dillon as the middle child of three. 

her mother left a few years after her youngest sister was born. leaving her father to take care of and support his three children. 

her father was and still is the sheriff. 

because their mother left, the Richard family became very tight-knit. monroe and her older brother really stepped up to help take care of the youngest especially since their father had to work ten times as hard to support them. 

roe worked very hard to keep her grades and everything up all while taking on other responsibilities while her brother and father worked. 

she fell in love with writing and pursued everything that she could that dealt with journalism and writing at school. 

definitely did yearbook and the school newspaper in high school 

was on the soccer team in hs

v athletic, but prefers to do the announcing/reporting 

grew up with a treehouse in the back and definitely had a group of friends who came over to hang out up in the treehouse 

personality wise, monroe is very friendly and loyal to those who she considered friends. she has a habit of taking care of others just because she grew up doing such. 

she’s v afraid of relationships bc of her mother. was either the first to break things off or she wouldn't even let the ‘relationship’ turn into one. doesn’t really like the label. 

if she’s comfortable with you, she will 100% let loose and let herself have fun, but she can definitely find herself with a front up.
