‘Perfect,’ the cloaked vampire thought, a wicked grin crossing his face as he approached. The mortal had fallen under his spell all too easily. Now, all he had to do was get him back to the palace. Jordan’s horse had spooked and run off, and while most would see that as an inconvenience, Dracula saw it as an opportunity. He could deliver the boy back to his family, appearing as a Good Samaritan and further attaining their favor. They would never suspect him.

As he drew closer to the felled royal, Vlad allowed concern to flood his face. Best to start the performance now, even with his hypnosis. “Oh, dear, are you alright?” he asked, dismounting his own jet black steed to rush over to Jordan’s side. “I saw you get thrown. That fall looked quite nasty…” He wanted Jordan to see him as fairly benevolent for as long as possible. It would help sell the illusion to his family.

Jordan enjoyed horse riding, ever since a young child it the one activity where he could be with a clear head. No royal duties, no guards flourishing after him, only him and his steed together - riding. 

After Rafeal’s exposure of being a creature of the night, Jordan had decided some time away. He needed to free his mind, the assaination attempts along with keeping the family together, the man was not in the best of spirits.

The fresh countryside air bustled through his hair, he spoke firmly to his horse giving them directions where both of them would benefit. This was a relationship after all, they trusted each other. It soon became later into the day and the royal decided he better head back to castle, after all it was Sunday which meant time with family. He knew the way back like the back of hand, every ditch, every path, the only problem was his horse wasn’t having any of it.

Thrown onto his back, yelping in pain, Jordan had no time to react before a deep fog clouded his mind. The spooked horses' cries were becoming quiter by the second. A blissful voice twisted inside of him that made the man’s eyelids become heavy. Every word was so agreeable, every request was easy to fuilfill, Jordan happily hummed in agreement.

“Yes . . . Master . . .”
