sam and mike are nearly frostbitten from how long they spent searching in the snow. chris got his information from ashley, who bit her nails down to the beds overnight. the others could barely look him in the eye. josh can’t figure out if his headache is related to the hangover or the idea of his sisters, humiliated and alone, lost somewhere on the mountain without him.

and where was he when they needed him? drunk, passed out? the last thing he remembers is a hazy glimpse of his baby sisters dragging him to the same couch where he awoke 10 hours later. he sees their faces but the edges of the memory are blurred and undefined. the sound of their voices and laughter is already fading away and running through his fingers like sand. all that’s left is the howling of the wind.

Sylus remained silent as he raised an eyebrow at the already unwrapped box of a single black vinyl disc, half wondering if the twins actually took their time to listen to his type of classical music just to buy this gift for him, before placing said vinyl record on the gramophone.

But Sylus was caught off guard by the melody that resonated in his office room; a serene tone, a familiar singing voice, your voice -

A recording of your singing resounding in the air, your sweet voice making his heart flutter with warmth and longing.

Luke and Kieran glanced at each other when their boss fell completely silent, only the sound of your singing surrounding the quiet atmosphere. They couldn't tell what Sylus was thinking with his back turned against them, but they could see the way Sylus traced his fingertips across the record player, him softly humming along with your voice.

They knew right then and there that they finally got their great boss the perfect gift they could ever think off, and all thanks to your (earlier hesitant) cooperation too. The beaming victorious smiled growing on their lips before both Luke and Kieran briefly froze up when Sylus's hands came to rest on top of their heads, their eyes widened at the sight of their boss's genuine small smile as he softly patted their heads.

"Thank you."

Best believe the twins teared up behind their crow masks when they left Sylus's office moments later, feeling like two proud kids after giving their father-figure guardian bossman the best present in his life.

I think the mistake people make with MCD -> MYS character conversion is that they’re focused on the story conversion not the character conversion

Like I think a true modern au is putting the same themes and storylines in a modern context. But that’s not what MyS is. And it shouldn’t have been for a variety of reasons.

Aaron is easily the most faithful adaptation between. Until his puppy boy era

But he is reserved, self-isolates, melancholy. Only MyS Aaron is more volatile, he fights more and doesn’t seem to have the same sense of purpose that revenge gives him in MCD. They’re both self-destructive.

It’s a shame they puppyboy’d him when he finally reached a point where he could’ve found a purpose in revenge and had a whole storyline about choosing aph over revenge. Since they fumbled that in MCD.

But alas.

Aaron in MyS has the same character traits but a different story. So he acts differently in according to his circumstances.

Zane who is a little bitch in both only gets redeemed in MyS because he didn’t get pushed to an extreme by his circumstances. But MCD Zane does. Both crave power but seek it in different ways according to the world around them, and MCD Zane dies for his cause, where mys Zane finds purpose without it.

And so on

The biggest disappointment of MyS is that they do so little with the opposite-nature of Aph and Aaron, other than ‘UwU tall x short’

She was sheltered her entire life to protect her from the outside world. He was sheltered to protect the world from him.

They met because of this. Because the only solace they found was in video games, because it was her only way to experience a world that couldn’t hurt her and it was the only way he could experience a world he couldn’t hurt.

Aphmau with the ability to heal and him with the curse to harm. He who transforms others and she who was transformed.

It can be so much outside of smol delicate girl x big scary man >w<

And I genuinely think if they cared to show any depth to this kind of dynamic, then aarmau wouldn’t be such a controversial ship. But alas.

Hope everyone is doing well, sorry there hasn’t been much updates on the webcomic. Its still in the works but had to be put on temporary hold until some personal stuff are resolved. Until then, enjoy this silly concept of Zenix and Aphmau being sibling coded, it’s definitely going to be something I look forward to drawing more of in the webcomic.
