Actually full disclosure until like a couple months ago I thought that Severance and Succession were the same thing. They're both three-syllable titles that start with S and from the scattered posts I saw on my dash appeared to involve mostly people looking very distraught in business-y environments. Eventually I started to pick up on the sci-fi stuff but for a while I was just like "Man, this family is even more fucked up than I thought!"

i love the phrase "which could mean nothing" i think its my favorite thing to come out of the internet ever i love saying it. it could mean nothing but we all know better. we know the truth.

i think we need a series of documentaries for people who ALREADY know a bunch about the topic. like i 100% love the ones like “our planet” that make science accessible and interesting, but they have to take 30 minutes to explain what evolution is. i want some that ARENT afraid to be jargony, that get into the real specifics. scientific papers are great but i think we deserve some fun cinematic netflix-david-attenborough-morgan-freeman documentaries please and thank you

I am exceptionally lucky in that my parents never hit me, grounded me, confiscated my things, banned me from my hobbies or threatened any of these actions to make me behave as a kid. as an adult it has made me realise how very very long a road most people have to traverse before they can take a statement like 'no rule that must be enforced by threat is legitimate' seriously.

I genuinely think there was no greater insight into the modern Christian mindset than when the Pope said he very much hoped Hell was empty and he was absolutely hounded by both Catholics and Protestants outraged at the idea of a man who wanted a place of infinite suffering to have nobody in it.
