oh uh, apologies for not posting much- a lot of my interest and excitement is still here! i'm just a lil limited because im still unable to do anything on den of angels... which is a shame! itd be nice to have a site to discuss diff things and learn more about having bjds!

i got a lil blind box mjd, which im thinking of customizing, but i gotta do research on if you can dye plastic or if you gotta paint it

there'd theoretically be a strong desire for me to get a 3d print of an oc's head, but i dont exactly know anyone who does 3d comms that way! D: the body is perfect, but the face is pretty far from what i'd want

hey throwing it out here, just wondering... i made a den of angels account last week, and i haven't been able to post or even look at most of the website. it just says i dont have the privileges- i can't even look at the newbie section at all

i've sent a contact form, but there's been no response, i'd really like to meet other people who are into bjds too!

is this typical? or is there something i should be doing?

It has been done…. Now I have a box full of stuff- do I remember what all of the boxes were? Nope!! So selling them will be difficult…

I wish I could do one of those things where I sell a box of random stuff, but idk how well that will go?

I do wanna downsize my random vinyl toy collection- a few years ago I was super into blind box toys (and really, I still am, just not nearly as much) because my shelf/display case has basically zero room…

Idk about donating them to thrift stores bc they’re not really for children… but I also have no means of just shipping out things

I do have a decent sized box I can put the stuff I don’t want in? There’s definitely things I’ll always have (Bruno bucciarati is not going anywhere for example) but there’s a lot that doesn’t have memories or any sort of personal attachment that I wouldn’t really miss

I wonder if I should make an eBay account? I’ve never actually sold stuff online before that wasn’t digital art

I might’ve ordered my first doll, though it will be a long time before it arrives I can’t contain my excitement- I found the perfect lil guy (though he’s 45 cm? Maybe I should have gone smaller? Oh well)

I was gathering dolls to look at for prices I could afford and just couldn’t stop thinking about him… he’s the subaru model from aimerai! Since the measurements were listed I even picked out a couple outfits for him!!!

I wanted my first doll to be something I could get the face up for and still enjoy, just so I know what it’s like… I do wanna practice painting on 3D surfaces, but I bought lps toys to practice that! Much smaller scale but that’s kind of what I need

unfortunately ever since i realized i really truly love bjds my first thought was how i wanted my ocs as dolls and it has taken over my mind.... like. so much.

like this is llewellyn, they're my special oc i use for just about everything (dnd, art, rp, etc.) and they mean so much to me that i would truly love and adore a lil llew that i could dress up/theoretically make clothes for bc i love designing lil outfits!!!! the only struggle is i'd want a more stylized doll for them, but not a full on anime doll... and they have more realistic (if exaggerated) proportions... its tricky.

i also have basil, my special girl, who i love so much (her face is a lil too long in that first picture, but i think the art overall is still good, its from a couple years ago)

here she is w llew for a semi-unused design for a setting that's like... desert post-apocalypse but make it fashion? idk that was drawn a couple months ago, i dont draw as often as i used to...

she would absolutely be easier to make, given that shes just slightly tan, and id adore her justttt as much but man....

ofc i... think it would be better if i started w a non-custom bjd if only bc opening a ton of small pieces of unpainted stuff would be a lil disappointing, and these would be projects that would require.... so much time and money.... and also skill! skills i do not have on account of my hand tremors!

but maybe someday.....

I did a splurge purchase months ago for the nightreign Pre-order bc I just, really wanted all of the stuff for it, I wonder when it’ll arrive……

I have absolutely nothing to show for it but… made my first attempt at sewing doll clothes! Unfortunately my hands cramped very badly, and I did not think through how bad putting black thread into black fabric would be… and I’d forgotten how to do straight stitching… so I grabbed a t shirt to practice a lil before the pain got to be too much

But I had a really good start of a pretty basic shirt in that I drew out the pattern (haven’t done that in years) and it was really fulfilling despite the end result looking kinda bad

I do a lot of 2d digital art, but it’s been a while since I’ve felt a lot of excitement in my craft… so maybe this is something new?
