“I have a proposition,” is never a sentence you want to hear when you sit down to lunch with your best friend. Especially when that friend is Semi Eita. 

“What..?” you ask apprehensively, taking the cup of coffee he’d obviously gotten to bribe you. You took it regardless, not willing to pass up the offer of free coffee.

“Nana is gonna be at the party this weekend,” he muttered, swirling his fingertips around the rim of his cup. You felt your heart drop into the pit of your stomach at his words, “I want you to come and pretend to be my date.”

Just as you’d expected. Not something you wanted to hear.

Nana was Eita’s first love, his first serious relationship, really. They got together when he was fresh out of highschool, the two of them spending almost all of their time together. 

It was when his career as a musician was just beginning, he was playing small gigs and there was nothing really successful. But he was happy. And he thought she was too.

Until she dumped him in favor of a much more famous man. He was a big movie producer and offered her a leading role in an upcoming film. Of course, she took the offer. 

She would much rather be mingling with the rich and famous than be hanging out with “a nobody like him”, as she put it. You remembered the hurt Eita felt, the tears and heartbreak it took almost 3 years for him to get over. 

“Why?” you finally asked with a sigh, “What will that accomplish?”

4 Great Fanfictions Recomended

Hi guys! I said in the past that I will keep posting lists of great fanfictions on here, but I have been reading less fanficion than I did last year, mostly because I am out of completed works in my favorite pairing, which is Sess/Rin. 

So because of that I actually ventured out and read other pairings; Sess/Kag and Sess/Kik. And… I found some great ones. :D So I thought I would post a list with a few of which I have been enjoying lately;

Sesshomaru and Kagome pairing:

Unspoiled By: forthright COMPLETE

“ Something goes awry during a trip through the Well, and Kagome is stranded in the distant past where she encounters a familiar face. When a very young Sesshoumaru decides to keep her, the consequences ripple through time. “

So this might not be new to Sess/Kag shippers as it is the most reviewed story in this category on fanfiction.net, but as a newbie to the pairing, I just found this, 6 years after it has been published. It is very imaginative and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it or for those who did to re-read it.

The Day After Tomorrow By: Angelhart-79 ON-GOING

“ After Naraku’s defeat the well doesn’t reopen and Kagome finds herself trapped in her own timeline. Her desire to get back to Inuyasha sets her out on a search to her demon friends in her own era for one or more must have survived. She finds Sesshomaru. Both are trapped in a world they don’t want to be in and they find comfort in each other’s presence. ”

This fanfiction is very special to me as it is the first Sess/Kag story that I really liked. I have actually been actively ignoring this pairing before, only sparing time for Sess/Rin. Howerer I am very glad that I read it, as it a new favorite of mine. It is AU/post-manga/anime, and as the description says, it takes place in the modern era, which earns a plus for me. I love to read about the future of my favorite characters, and if you do too, this is a great story for you.

Sesshomaru and Kikyou pairing:

Behind Closed Doors By: StarvingLunatic COMPLETE

“ Kikyo is married and she’s in love with Sesshomaru. Well, what’s the problem? She’s not married to Sesshomaru.”

I have always thought Kikyou and Sesshomaru would make a nice couple. They both like to stare into the sky with an aloof expression on their faces, hair flowing and standing dangerously close to the edge of a cliff - You know what I mean? But back to this fanfiction; It is an AU story which also takes place in the present, Kikyou is a miko and Sesshomaru is a demon just like in the manga, but otherwise very different set up. I am not going to tell you who Kikyou is married to, it comes up in the beginning of this story anyway, so if you decide to give this underrated pairing a try you will find out soon enough. There is also a continuation for this, which I have not read jet, - so I won’t review - here it is:  Out in the Open

And for the last one… Seshomaru and Rin pairing:

The Young Bride By: missbot ON-GOING

“ This story takes place many years after The Final Act. Rin is an adolescent now and Sesshomaru makes a decision that will be hard for the both of them when he realizes she needs to live among humans and take a human mate. “

This is one of my Sess/Rin favorites, especially when it comes to current on-going stories on fanfiction.net in this category. It starts out the same way as many adult Rin fanfictions do, but changes drastically from your usual S/R love strory, when Sesshomaru makes an unexpected decision to leave Rin in the hands of a lovely young man. It is a great adventure love story which starts out on a light note but turns into a great drama. It doesn’t have nearly as many views and review as it deserves, so I am hoping my review on here might change that! Give it a try, it’s a great read.
