THIS. i just want love, man 😢. it’s okay to have this stuff sometimes but there’s a huge imbalance in the content for black readers and it kind of sucks. i might just start writing it myself too.

Bro I love that tumblr and Wattpad have x readers black readers but fuck why does it always have to be about sex. Like why can’t we get a 10k word fanfic about us falling in love and being loved gently with some background drama or action. It’s always sex or rape which is low key weird. Like I get people are into that or write it because of trauma but it’s always sex, violent sex, or just literally rape. Or they’re racist stereotypes in the fanfic which is a whole other story. On Ao3 they’re x reader fanfics that are fun, have adventure, a little bit of drama, and a splash of sex. Also it’s with the same people it’s either attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, or My hero Academia. Which is cool but it’s usually only them. At this point imma try and make a x black reader fanfic because this shit is exhausting. But I have work so someone dm if they wanna work on a fanfic together because things need to low key change.

“You are loved.” I hate how that one little phrase feels so tight as if it were the noose I want so badly to wrap around my neck. I hate how the words go down my throat like a thick coat of honey I cannot seem to swallow. I hate how they fill my lungs with an overwhelming feeling of melancholy until I eventually suffocate on the support they try so desperately to give. I hate that it is a sentence meant to heal, yet it serves as a reminder that if I do not, I will disappoint everyone. I hate how they make me feel so trapped— as if life is a cage, and if I were to choose to run, then I would not be ridding of my pain but just passing it along. But then, even worse, if I failed to, I would then be left to deal with not just my own pain but others too. I hate how loudly they echo in the back of my mind on those days when I cannot even bring myself to get out of bed, screeching at me about how ungrateful I am because how dare I feel numb when there is so much warmth around me. I hate the pressure they put on me to act like everything is getting better since I do not want others to feel like they are not doing enough, just because I am simply not enough. I know I am loved, but I wish I was not because having nothing to lose is much easier than being something to lose.

Dancing After Death

Warmth. That was the only thing that could be felt as their chin rested upon you, an arm wrapped loosely around your waist, and their hand gently resting on the back of your head, holding you as close to their body as possible as the two of you you swayed along to the sound of the soft melody playing throughout the air.

The hum of the music echoing off the living room walls was the only bit of noise that could be heard apart from the crackling of the fireplace, which cast a dim light across the living room, and the pitter-patter of the raindrops that landed upon the roof of the tiny abode.

Moments like these weren't rare with you two, as they had usually been the calm after the storm— the resolve after another one of your pointless arguments. But that didn't make them any less special, as times like this had served as a reminder as to why you remained together when every other sign screamed for the opposite.

You two had your fair share of flaws.. both of you were beyond stubborn, and that could lead to more disagreements and conflicts than one could ever imagine: constant yelling and slammed doors, broken glass and dented walls, harsh sayings on both parts and words that neither of you meant— they were all too common. All too familiar. None of it mattered though– not one bit, because every single shred of that anger seemed to fade away the second your face was met with their chest, and you heard that unusually soft "I'm sorry, I love you." muttered into your ear.

That “I love you” had more impact on you than any insult or angry comment thrown your way. More than any apology. It held so much power over you. Especially since you knew full well that it was genuine. It was always enough to reel you back in. Not that night, though. That night those words came far too late.
