In Baltimore City, MD: 8-week-old adorable Tortie kitten is underweight and looking for rescue placement! - BARCS, Baltimore MD
Glen 4- 8 weeks old, unaltered female, 1.38lbs
Little Glen 4 was brought to BARCS through our TNR program. Unfortunately, because she's not eating well in the shelter, she doesn't weigh enough for surgery yet and is underweight in general.
So far in our care, Glen has been fearful and hissy at times; however, once she's being held, she has been easy to handle and accepting of pets. We think after a little bit of time in a foster home, she will come around.
Glen 4 is available immediately for rescue pick-up.
Please let us know if your organization can help!

In Baltimore City, MD: Adorable, exuberant Cane Corso with bilateral cherry eyes is seeking rescue placement - BARCS, Baltimore MD
If you can foster Butternut and save her life, please email [email protected] --most rescues will provide all food/vetting/etc. -- you provide the loving home!
Butternut- 2 y/o, unaltered female, 68lbs
Butternut came to BARCS as a stray, but you’d never know it by how friendly and curious she is. At just 2 years young, she’s not quite a puppy, but still full of playful, youthful energy.
She comes out of her kennel with enthusiasm, tail wagging and ready for some fun! Butternut is eager to learn — she may know “sit” and responds well to gentle correction and redirection. This happy, affectionate, and adventurous girl is soaking up every new experience and would love nothing more than a home to call her own.
While in our shelter's care, Butternut has shown to be selective with her dog friends. She was tense at the barrier and can be antagonistic with uncomfortable dogs, continuing to initiate play despite clear corrections; otherwise, Butternut has been a rowdy and playful girl who pairs best with tolerant friends.
Upon examination, our vets noted that Butternut has bilateral cherry eyes and otitis. She was started on eye ointment and surgical correction is ultimately recommended. A full medical summary can be provided upon request.
In general, Butternut has been a jumpy and mouthy girl in our care with high arousal and lack of manners, particularly during heavy handling (including medical handling).
Butternut is quite stressed in the shelter environment, so is seeking immediate rescue placement.
