Just some midnight thoughts but I always felt like reading/writing fanfiction had to be this little secret you'd keep and never tell anyone because the rest of the population would make fun of you for it. But now that more friends are admitting that they do read fanfiction, I wanted to make a podcast out of it. I felt like it would be a nice way to know other fandoms and the more we talk about specific ships/tropes/works, the more recognition some of these fanfics and their writers would get.

I'm still unsure if anyone would be willing to listen to me talk about it, especially when it'll be my voice just delving deep into that world but still worth a shot. I'm hoping that if it gets more traction on say... Youtube? I could eventually invite these writers to talk to them about the fanfiction world.

Animagi in Ilvermorny

Since the American Wizarding community is huge on keeping themselves hidden from no-majs, I think they would be way more lenient on Animagus. Think about it, apparating can’t be explained too easily if someone just pops up, but a cat walking the streets would make way more sense, plus it could stop wizards from walking around in their robes. Having a few more animals as apposed to witches and wizards walking around in robes or revealing themselves out of confusion regarding no-maj transportation, is a no brainer.

So, Ilvermorny would allow Becoming an Animagus, as an elective starting second year (12 and 13), although students wouldn’t be able to use their Animagus form outside of magical locations until their fourth year (14 and 15).

I don't know if this has been talked about yet, but Ilvermorny set in the Appalachia. I mean Hogwarts may have scary creatures in the Forbidden Forest, but can you imagine the eldrich horrors that would reside within Appalachia? Just imagine an Ilvermorny student minding their business walking along the forest edge; they hear a noise and turn, and low and behold it's a windigo or a skinwalker about to strike. Anywho this was just something I wanted to talk about... let me know what you think.

The Yule Ball: Happy Holidays from the Wizarding World

In recent events, the Triwizard Tournament was reinstated by the Dominion of Wizarding Schools in Europe. Headmasters and headmistresses hope that such a competition would invigorate one’s intelligence and magical ability.

The Yule Ball is a formal dance held on the evening of Yule of a tournament year and is opened by the Triwizard competitors and their partners. It has had several themes hosted by the three wizarding schools in Europe. At the turn of the 21st century - Hogwarts School, Beauxbatons Academy and the Durmstrang Institute have actively encouraged same-sex partnerships for the ball to advocate for an accepting community.

Those sorted into this house value the humanist approach through to the world, they don’t learn to gather knowledge but learn to become a better person. They are introverts focused on their own internal state. Papillonlisse students are often very emotional, bring strong feelings and strong dedication into their work.
