FAQ FOR AU PARTICIPANTS ⟡

What is okay to make, choose, suggest, and what isn’t? ⟡

✅ = OKAY ❌ = NOT OKAY

✅ Making your own character for the AU world setting! This includes: your characters’ lore, backgrounds, movesets, personality, and more. Basically all info about them is yours to make and I may work off of it as a base for fic, art, etc.

✅ Giving me suggestions or feedback on designs and AU ideas is always okay and appreciated. However, know I’m not obligated to accept and use all suggestions/feedback.

✅ You can make comics and fanart of all kinds for this AU! From fics to comics to digital art to traditional art and beyond, go nuts!

Note: You can also ask others if it’s okay to write or draw headcanons about yours and their character too. Just make sure the people involved are comfortable with it!

❌ You cannot create foundational lore, for characters, worlds, or settings in this AU. Unless I’m asking for feedback or opinions, the world and AU itself will solely be made by me for you all interact and engage with.

To clarify, “foundational lore” means the groundwork of the AU, and the foundation of the characters. The AU itself, the world setting, the lore, the foundational concepts and so on. For characters, I mean my Zoroark, the NPCS, any potential bosses, and the stories and personalities they already have.

You can create headcanons of how your character interacts with the world and its characters, but nothing so drastic that it makes it a totally different AU or character. If I feel that’s what’s happening I will address it properly.

❌ This definitely goes without saying but you cannot make anything that would be harmful to the AU or its participants. This means do not just make assumptions on others’ characters, or make harmful content involving yours or others’ characters as well. If you intend to write something that has darker topics for your own character, please trigger warning accordingly for the comfort of the community

Celestial City Residents (NPC List 1) ⟡

Celestial City is not just made up of the members of the Moonn Rescue Guild! There's plenty of colorful faces in the city itself that are happy to welcome new faces that make their way into the port!

Meet them below!

— STARRY SQUARE ⟡

Mocha the Raichu

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Moveset: Psychic, Thunderbolt, Knock Off, Psychic Noise ‎‎

Mocha is very prideful and fiery. She's also incredibly competitive with Nate on who's the better chef. However, they both share a mutual respect for one another as well.

Mocha specializes in breakfast food and desserts but can cook up just about anything with the right ingredients.

She grew up being made fun of for preferring food over battling amongst other Raichu and Pikachu, but she loves cooking and wears her culinary skills with pride.

Dochi, Reha, & Mimi the Tatsugiri

Genders: All of them are Male (He/Him).

They all are very single-minded, and when given a task they will see it through. They tend to only speak in a few short sentences. They respect Mocha (and also never want to make her angry... too many scary stories with that...)

They enjoy serving customers and seeing the smiles on their faces.

Kira the Cleffa, Liko the Phanpy, Polka the Amaura, & Chi the Dedenne

Genders: - Kira = Female (She/Her) - Liko = Female (She/Her) - Polka = Non-binary (They/Them) - Chi = Male (He/Him)

The well-known group of kids who play around the city

Loved by all citizens

They pretend to be a rescue guild around the city and are called Team Sparkle (According to Kira)

They love to visit the Moonn Rescue Guild and hear stories and are given "Rescue Guild Duties" aka chores around the guild by Izzy

Dill the Slakoth

Gender: ??? (They/Them)

Is genuinely just there.

Does nothing else but vibe and eat berries.

You can find them in random places around the city, just vibing.

They don't say much either and it's a little cryptic.

Aria the Tsareena, & Melody the Primarina : Team Siren

Aria

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: Power Band

IQ Skill: Aggressor

Moveset: Trop Kick, Power Whip, High Jump Kick, Stomp ‎

Aria is very temperamental and can be seen as a diva somewhat.

Prefers combat over singing, but she's very talented at both.

If Melody wasn't there to calm her down she would've gotten into many many more fights. Is impressed by the Moonn Rescue Guild and has a lot of respect and admiration for a certain Zoroark.

Melody

Gender: Genderfluid (Any Pronouns)

Held Item: Dodge Scarf

IQ Skill: Sharpshooter

Moveset: Sparkling Aria, Moonblast, Alluring Voice, Rain Dance ‎

Is the calming presence to counter Aria's fiery personality.

Has been childhood friends with Aria and gladly joined her rescue team, and her singing endeavors.

Has a beautiful voice and has charmed many across the world.

Enjoys Celestial City's quaint aura.

Feels every pokemon has a unique "aura" and can read them so they say, but not many believe them.

Rina the Lucario, & Mel the Meowscarada

Rina

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: Detect Band

IQ Skill: Clutch Performer

Moveset: Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Metal Sound, Bullet Punch

Mel

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: Scope Lens

IQ Skill: Critical Dodger

Moveset: Flower Trick, Night Slash, Double Team, Hone Claws ‎

Rina and Mel are detective partners that work independently, however they do work with the Police (Sheriff Magnezone) from time to time as well.

Rina is more calculated while Mel is more reckless, they balance each other out.

Rina has to pull Mel out of a lot of trouble but would gladly do it again and again.

Mel enjoys working alongside the Moonn Rescue Guild because they have "creative" methods at times that Sheriff Magnezone would disapprove of.

They're the type to dance amongst explosions and battling around them.

The Kecleon Brothers

Genders: Both are Male (He/Him)

The two of them are perfect business partners.

They are very fair shop owners but the purple brother often has to scold the green brother into not getting people to buy more than they need.

They love to talk about their huge extended family that travel as merchants within the mystery dungeons.

Amelia the Audino

Gender: Female (She/They)

Is the Egg & Daycare worker.

Loves kids and helps look after the young ones.

Is very motherly and loves to check in on the younger members of the guild.

Loves sweet drinks.

Nitro the Toxtricity

Gender: Male (He/Him)

The Link Move shop owner.

Loves the idea of comboing moves.

Has a brother who lives on the other continent, they keep in touch through mail.

Is very hyper and energetic.

Pelly the Pelipper

Gender: Non-binary (Any Pronouns)

Is the reliable mailperson.

Delivers the guild's mail on time and upfront.

Can be a bit spacey, but never falters in their job.

The lighthouse guardian on Midnight Cliffs.

Alerts the city when traveling ships are approaching the ports.

Takes his job very seriously.

Has a soft spot for Aspear berries.

Edith

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Neema

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Both claim to be able to see the coming future, but in different ways.

Edith is more of a fortune teller, seeing the future through her magic gemstones.

Neema is considered more of an oracle, and some go to her to seek out her wisdom, yet her mind is fading somewhat, and she now speaks in cryptic tongues only Edith can understand.

Some think they're magical, others think they're insane, maybe they're a bit of both. The loss of their rescue team leader had them soon retiring from the guild to take refuge amongst the outskirts of the city.

Geode the Lapras, Silque the Dragonair, & Peppa the Finizen

Geode

Gender: Male (He/Him)

Held Item: Racket Band

IQ Skill: Nontraitor

Moveset: Confuse Ray, Brine, Perish Song, Ice Beam ‎

Geode is very cautious and very shy around others. However, he looks up to Bryce a lot being a fellow Lapras and follows her commands to the letter.

Geode enjoys quiet time and although he does enjoy the presence of the other guild members, he preferably be alone more often than not. Too much energy makes him anxious.

Silque

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: Persim Band

IQ Skill: Cheerleader

Moveset: Safegaurd, Dragon Dance, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail ‎

Silque loves to dance and enjoys putting on shows for the members and the children of the city.

She isn’t shy at all and loves to chat and socialize.

Wants to be a bright light for the guild when she can.

Peppa

Gender: Fem-leaning (She/They)

Held Item: Mystic Water

IQ Skill: PP Saver

Moveset: Aqua Jet, Acrobatics, Encore, Hydro Pump ‎

Peppa was a victim of a Sharpedo attack and was separated from her pod. She wandered until finding the Moonn Rescue Guild, she owed them her life after taking her in and sheltering her. So she joined and now works with Bryce the Transportation Captain.

She’s very peppy and enjoys spending time with others.

Has a Sharpedo bite mark on her tail fin.

Has an almost crippling fear of loneliness.

Fugo

Gender: Male (He/They)

Held Item: Oran Berry (he gets hungy)

Moveset: Apple Acid, Body Slam, Dragon Pulse, Energy Ball ‎

Fugo is not the brightest of the bunch but does his absolute best.

Not much of a fighter so doesn’t go on many rescue missions or mystery dungeon explorations.

Is surprisingly very strong but doesn’t know it.

Loves to serve the guild because their happiness is his happiness.

Berrie

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: Stamina Band

IQ Skill: Self-Curer

Moveset: Decorate, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Attract ‎

Berrie is incredibly kind but has a large temper and will be snappy should people continuously push her buttons.

Loves to make sweets and often joins in on Nate’s competitive spirit with the Voltage Cafe.

Doesn’t go on many expeditions but when she does she’s a firecracker and a half.

Will never let a belly in the guild be empty.

Juno the Meowstic

Gender: Non-binary (They/Them)

IQ Skill: Deep Breather

Moveset: Helping Hand, Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic ‎

Juno is quiet and cares deeply about their job. They follow Fos exceptionally well and looks up to them.

They dislike racket and often stay in the guild’s archive room where it’s quieter until mealtime.

Finds pokemon to be more annoying and prefers books as company.

Has a fear of bug-types but is slowly working on it in secret.

Helix the Morgrem, & Nico & Rika the Impidimp: Team Mischief

Helix

Gender: Male (He/Him)

IQ Skill: Survivalist

Moveset: False Surrender, Nasty Plot, Foul Play, Torment ‎

Helix is very prideful and cocky; he acts as if he knows so much even if he doesn’t.

Looks up to the other guild members but especially Izzy not only as a fellow dark-type, but as a leader. However he’d never admit this even though he’s very obvious.

Is secretly very thankful to the guild for pulling him and the Impidimp twins off the streets and into a safer environment.

Nico

Gender: Male (He/Him)

Held Item: None

IQ Skill: Nontraitor

Moveset: Nasty Plot, Sucker Punch, Swagger, Fake Tears ‎

Nico looks up to Helix a great deal and wants to be a strong Morgrem like him one day.

Follows Helix’s words like their law. Has a very “You got it boss!” type of vibe with him.

Loves apples and has been scolded for taking too many from the guild’s stash.

Rika

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Held Item: None

IQ Skill: Bodyguard

Moveset: Nasty Plot, Play Rough, Flatter, Fake out ‎‎

The most caring of the trio. Looks out for the other two and is the first to ask for help even though the others are too prideful to ask.

Follows Helix’s words like their law. Has a very “You got it boss!” type of vibe with him.

Loves the other members and wants to be friends but is too shy to ask.

FAQ ⟡

How did the AU come to be? ⟡

It all started when Izzy did a stream where she drew her friends and chat members as Pokemon. It slowly turned into a PMD AU for fun, and then a few months later it came back up again, and she decided to take the AU more seriously. It then became a fun little project for her to work on casually and her friends and community members chip in their two cents on ideas as well to help her soundboard. Others also contribute things like art, and comic ideas as well! It's become a fun thing that the community all share and it's very important to Izzy.

Is the AU and open AU where anyone can join? ⟡

No. This is a closed AU and Izzy likes to keep it to her friends and the people that are among her community. While it is not an open AU, anyone is more than welcome to read and look through the AU!

Will the AU have a comic or a fangame? ⟡

As of right now, that's not in the plans. This is mainly just a lighthearted AU for fun and for Izzy and her community to make fun things out of. (Never say never though!)
