Like I’d never heard it before today, and I saw people saying “Omg this song reminds me of Sebpainter !!” And I was like… Nahhhhhh… Whateverrrrr

But like. Like. GUYS.

If you did the Snowgrave route in chapter two, ERAM in chapter three will say “There’s some part of you enjoying this, knowing you can say it isn’t really you” to Kris (or something along those lines

And the egg room in chapter four seems to be a therapy office of some sort.

And in the snowgrave cutscene with Noelle, the option “Equip” will pop up with no context. Kris will pull out the thorn and then you have to click “proceed” five or six times before Kris is forced to stab it into Noelle’s hand.

The in-game options seem to be somewhat influenced by Kris, sometimes. Like, you have the choice to tell Alvin “Bangin’ sermon my man” which is something Kris would definitely say. Or when you tell the to “Turn the doorknob” in chapter four but they just turn it without opening it. So the fact that the option to equip the Thorn shows up somewhat randomly, mixed with the fact that it’s the ONLY thing you can do, is interesting to me.

I think Kris maybe has intrusive thoughts, and the Snowgrave route is basically the soul forcing them to act out their intrusive thoughts.

They think mean, violent, terrible things, but they aren’t a bad person deep down. That’s why the option to be rude to people will occasionally pop up, but Kris will do everything they can to stop you. Just because they had the thought doesn’t mean they want to act on it.

They’re the one who had the thought to “Equip” the thorn into Noelle, but they didn’t actually want to do it, hence why you have to FORCE them into it.

When ERAM calls them out for “enjoying the fact that it isn’t really them,” it’s basically taunting them for something they can’t control. They DON’T like the Snowgrave route, but it’s their own thoughts that took them there. The thoughts they’d never act on without your influence. The thoughts they had to go to therapy for. The thoughts they can’t control.

The fact that Toby changed the Snowgrave cutscene in chapter 4 was nice, because it means he listens to the fandom and knows how to clear up any confusion that may occur.
