Why does FnAF: Secret of the Mimic looks and plays like Poppy playtime/garden of banban/mascot horrrr #454 ?!?!?

Like, fnaf has not been 'check cameras only' gameplay since like fnaf 4. But even help wanted and security breach felt like...fnaf. (It helped that the characters were there)

If I had opened a SotM let's play randomly I would have told you it's like the newest poppy playtime chapter or a spin off?... Just more polished, more intricate. But everything -from edwin's voice overs (who somehow apparently created everything), the new animatronic, the whole factory aspect of it...feels like basic mascot horror.

I am like, halfway through this let's play (so everything can change still= but I can't shake the damn feeling
