How to use a Pendulum
Tumblr media
One of the things I have fallen in love with using is my pendulum. I feel it’s a great beginners tool and the great thing is you can create a pendulum from almost anything, making it a very discrete piece of kit. My favourite would be to wear a necklace, especially a crystal point and then use that as a pendulum. Not only is it always on my person and so is finely attuned to me it is very incognito!
My pendulum is made from Rose Quartz as it is a stone I resonate well with, especially recently. It promotes self-love and that has always been something I’ve stood for.
Using is a pendulum is quite easy, though as mentioned before I suggest using something that is attuned to you. If you are buying a pendulum make sure you buy one that ‘speaks to you’ or that you are drawn to in a store. Then, make sure you carry it around with you for a while.
After this, when you sit down to use your pendulum (simply hold with the majority of the length of chain/string/wire and weighted end dangling free, rest your elbow on a table or make sure it is steady) I would ask some simple yes or no questions you already know the answer to. Some of these could include:
Can I drive?
Is the colour of my hair ****?
Do I have any pets?
Just a few will do, make sure to ask one that has the answer yes and one that has the answer no. This will allow you to see your pendulum’s default answer for ‘yes’ and ‘no’. Typically a pendulum will swing in a circular motion when in a ‘resting’ mode.
After that, start asking the questions you’d like to know the answers to.
The hard part about using a pendulum, is being able to clear your mind. You need to be able to focus. Not only do you need a clear head when beginning your divination, but also a focused one when you ask your question. If your mind is a mess, likely your pendulum will be too!
