The first night was... Weird. As foreseen suddenly she started meowing desperately until I decided to stay in the same room as her (she refused to move), I was sitting on the floor as far as I could and she calmed down and decided to climb on me and sleep there. When I tried to put her down and go to sleep she was back meowing.

And that's how I spent the night sleeping on the floor as my cat's bed (yes, she has plenty of proper beds and places that she decided were worth sleeping in).

Now she's back avoiding me (stille meowing as soon as I go to another room), but at least she ate nearly all her wet food for the morning...

The road is definitely upwards, I know that one other family let you down and you're clearly terrified by me, but I hope we'll become a family.

Thank you so much for the advices given so far, as far as it goes what I'm most worried about is the fact that until now she hasn't eaten anything and for the imminent night, she comes from a group of three siblings (the other two have already been sent to other families) and she seems unconsolable about it (the first family sent her back for this reason).

Sadly I won't be able to give her a playmate 😔 not enough funds (and space I'm afraid)

Italian here, there are some kinds of pasta that have to be broken (ziti e candele). You can even break spaghetti if you cook them with legumes.

As for the lenght of pasta, this is how it was before it had to fit the shelves

My father used to tell me that, when you bought it, you had only a bit of wrap in the middle to carry it around

The default length of pasta is designed to fit on a supermarket shelf, not to be the best length for cooking/eating.

Feel free to break it to any length you want (don't let the Italians know I said this)

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

One time I got badly sunburnt through my linen shirt during a reenactment camping trip and I've been so paranoid about it since

Me too, I usually keep some strong solar protection, the problem is finding a little time window to hide somewhere and put it, yesterday we were in the amphitheatre in Pompeii, no shadow to hide and a show immediately after one other, with only a little pause for lunch, and I had to go to create some promotional content for next events (we'll do this again in May and September).

But now I'm used to it, it's become a tradition to get sunburned the first reenactment of the year leaving the shape of the necklace I'm wearing 😅

ok so I was looking at the list of conspirators for the assassination of Caesar on Wikipedia (not exactly super reliable but I’m gonna roll with it) and guess what I found

Peter Capaldi plays caecilius in the fires of Pompeii and at some point during the episode I think he says something about moving to Rome (but don’t quote me on that it’s been awhile since I’ve watched the episode). but, the most important thing is

THIS MAN STABBED CAESAR

And if Donna and the Doctor didn’t save him or his family, then history could’ve turned out completely differently because one person was missing from the let’s-kill-Caesar squad

I desperately want to know if this was one purpose and no I’m never getting over it

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Now I'm waiting until Monday to use again my spindle, also trying to apply this to one of my first spindles (one part of the whorl was broken in three parts) and se if I'll manage to recover that too

ALARM CRACKING SHAFT!!!

Please somebody tell me I can recover it, it's not completely broken yetandd it opens this way only if I try to bend it, but it's there and is making a dent that can damage the yarn, there is a way to fix and smooth back the surface?

Please help 😢
