can only make scrambled eggs and boxed mac n cheese ➝ suna (will boil water on the stove and forget about it when waiting), sugawara (there's a 7-11 right next to his apartment, so he just buys all his food there), matsukawa (solely depends on takeout), hoshiumi (goes to costco to buy hamburger helper in bulk)

don’t eat what they’ve made unless you want food poisoning ➝ atsumu (his brother got the “competent in the kitchen” genes), hanamaki (puts a handful of salt when the recipe asks for a pinch), lev (...), nishinoya (forgets to wash his hands and tells you the bacteria will add extra flavor), terushima (pours mountain dew into cake batter for an extra kick)

gordon ramsey’s disciples ➝ osamu (does omakase for you on your anniversary, dedicates an entire day to go to the farmer's market to buy the best ingredients), tendou (pretends he’s on iron chef whenever he cooks, says he’s better than bobby flay and has once juggled knives in the kitchen)

Not to be literally the biggest sap ever but I didn’t think I ever thought about the shiratorizawa guys until I came across your fic. I liked Semi and Shirabu mainly and found it through the latter’s tags and it changed my life. Everyone is so ridiculously in character (!!!) and I love Goshiki’s development specifically…

The scream i let out when the shiratorizawa antics chapter came out!!! I knew, i knew that mc was gonna end up with ushijima! The vibes were there and their back and forth was subtle and immaculate! I shall patiently wait in anticipation for the epilogue! My question would also be, when did you decide on ushijima being endgame?

I think you may have gotten the vibe for like... the first 8-ish chapters, I was going hog wild with the things I wrote..... no plan.... no drafts.... just pure vibes from noon to midnight writing whatever the hell I wanted (thanks pandemic). starting from chap 9 (a conversation with ushijima) to the end, you can see that's when I started to drop all these hints between ushijima and the mc (tendou saying he'll go bald if the two got together, ushijima catching mc from falling down the stairs at national, ushijima considering throwing the ball during the golden week chapter, ushijima completely killing it with the dating sim chapter, etc.). I had the intention for quite a while, but I also really wanted to make sure every member of the team got their own "special" moment :)

hq + halloween costumes 🎃👻

happy halloween! celebrating the spookiest day of the year with a silly hc post about what costumes I think each hq guy would wear!

wears a man slut costume -> atsumu (duh), ushijima (doesn't mean to but with the way he's built, all his costumes end up man-slutty), terushima (something tells me that he would dress up as the wonka man unfortunately), bokuto (says he made some serious gains and wanted to wear a costume that shows off his pecs), osamu (you don't expect it, but in the end he's just like his brother)

lean towards doing a goofy group costume -> hanamaki, matsukawa (these two were planning their costumes since july...), tanaka (dressed up as a meme with nishinoya), nishinoya (dressed up as a meme with tanaka), sugawara (egged on nishinoya and tanaka to dress up as a meme and ended up joining them), tendou (he tried to rally the rest of the shiratorizawa guys to all be guy fieri with him but no one was biting...)

low effort costume -> kuroo (dressed up as a salary man and called it a day), iwaizumi, futakuchi (bastard gives me the impression that he would wear a name tag for a halloween costume), suna

paid an arm and a leg for a 1-to-1 costume replica -> kenma (was bidding on ebay for legolas' movie props), yaku (only paid big bucks so he can flex on kuroo), oikawa (he heard there was a costume contest and he wanted to win)

actually wears something normal for the halloween party -> daichi, kai, yamaguchi (he definitely dresses cute like a minion or something), ennoshita, goshiki, komori

doesn't dress up -> tsukishima, sakusa (don't even ask these two), shirabu (working an all nighter at the hospital), kageyama (genuinely forgot it was halloween), akaashi (overslept bc of work and missed the party)

ordered his costume too late and it didn't deliver on time for the party -> lev (idiot)
