Every move you make, every step you take, I'll be watching you
Nina and Tony sat at the bar's table quietly, and while the loving glances they shared and the affectionate words they whispered to each other with smiles and chuckles would trick some into thinking that they only had eyes for each other, that wasn't quite true.
They were waiting for someone, a man that they had been tracking for some time by then, and having started to figure out his habits - dangerous things to keep for a man of such importance - they were sure he would enter the bar anytime now.

Don't you love me anymore? Have you learned to live your life without me?
Nina moved in closer, and Jack's heart was beating so fast he thought it would explode. Then she lowered down and knelt between his legs in a position that felt familiar despite how many years had gone by since the last time they had done that, and so did her hands, her deliberately teasing caresses, the mischievous smirk on her face.
"Convince me."

Come in, she said, I'll give you shelter from the storm
George smiled triumphantly. After months of searching and agents working undercover, there she finally was. Nina Myers, the woman they'd been searching for every day since they had found out she was a mole and a traitor to her country and her coworkers. The man she had betrayed the most, Jack Bauer, wasn't there yet. George had decided to keep the fact that they were after her from him, at least until they had her in custody, not to fuel Jack's hopes only to have her escape at the last minute.
But there would be no more escaping now. No, this time Nina would pay for the pain she had caused, pay for her crimes, and under the surveillance of a CTU director and two of the best field agents Nina wouldn't be going anywhere.

No one's gonna save you from the beasts about to strike
The hit on Tensor was supposed to be easy. They had spent weeks planning the attack on the terrorist that had been granted a presidential pardon in exchange for vital information, but apparently it hadn't been enough. Just as they had gotten a visual on their target they had been spotted by members of his security, and it had been then that the nightmare had started.

A time line of us
An alternative take on day 1 - Jamey turned out to be the only mole at CTU and after she was found out she told Tony and Nina all she knew about Gaines. The day ended as soon as Jack got his family back.
Here is what happened next.

I've tasted blood and I want more
Jack and Nina were planning their next hit that night while Tony was out monitoring what could become a future target.
They were sitting on the couch, so close it would almost look like they were cuddling hadn't it been for the laptop on Nina's lap, but there was also the way her arm was wrapped around Jack's shoulders so tight, the way Jack wanted nothing more than to start caressing her side, to close the short distance that separated their lips, and Jack had to admit that with every passing day it was more difficult to resist.

The bigger picture
"There's been a change of plans." A familiar voice announced. The corridor was cold and dark, and Nina could barely see her co-conspirator, but she knew it was better that way, safer. Down there the cameras were looped, they had made sure of it, so they had a whole minute to talk freely, without risking anyone hearing them. "I know what they told you." The voice revealed. "Disregard that order."

He's a cold hearted snake, (don't) look into his eyes
"Tony?" Milo called out, approaching him. "There's a journalist here for you." Tony sighed. "Another one?" Milo's only reply was a chuckle. "This isn't funny-" He tried arguing, but to no avail. "To you maybe, but to us is hilarious." George pointed out from the station beside him.
"This one says you will control our minds and enslave the country. He says he's got proof too." Milo continued, and George pretended to be shocked. "Tony, they underestimate you." He feigned indignancy. "Only last week people swore you'd conquer the whole world! Your popularity must be vanishing quickly."
Tony chuckled bitterly. "If only."
It had all started during the hearing.

The sun in your eyes made some of the lies worth believing
That noon when Jack went back home for his lunch break everything felt normal, like any other day.
He collected the mail from his postbox as usual, and didn't pay it too much attention. He prepared some quick meal, and only when he sat down to eat did he take a look at the two letters. One he discarded immediately, recognizing spam mail when he saw it, but just as he was about to throw the second one away as well having decided that that too was spam, he read the name of the sender again.
Jack frowned. He knew that name, it was a DNA testing facility that CTU had worked with in the past for forensics when they couldn't wait how long it would take to send the evidence back to the US for results. But why was it addressed to him directly and not to CTU?

I'm preying on you tonight, hunt you down, eat you alive
The deal with Carlos should have been easy. A simple exchange, straightforward. Héctor would drive the car there, Jack would come along for bodyguard duty to make sure they got the money they had agreed on, then they would walk away. That was the plan.

It seems like there's no way out of this for me
"This is business, Tony." David pointed out, shaking his head. "We can't have an... unknown factor like Jack Bauer coming in and messing things up." He continued as he took out his gun, much to Tony's concern. "So what, you're going to kill him?" He asked, starting to panic, a pleading expression on his face, and just as he thought there was nothing that could go worse, David spoke again. "No, you are." He revealed.

Tony tried to take deep breaths, but it felt like he was grasping for air that wasn't there, his lungs burning, his body shaking, his vision clouded by tears he had no control over.

The devil's in the details, and he wants to hear them all
Jack knew who his man was as soon as he entered the diner. Sitting in a corner by himself, a closed leather-bound book in front of him and an expression on his face as he looked outside the window that Jack could only describe as thoughtful but also somehow tired, the man didn't turn to look at him even as Jack sat in front of him.
"I want you to heal someone for me."
