As a celibate asexual, this is a cute idea and someone should write a story about it.

been thinking more than usual about Elizabeth&Radek's relationship. I keep saying that Radek has an unrequited crush on Elizabeth, it's obvious to everyone except to himself and that's fine.

But beyond that I believe that they could actually be really good friends. Radek seems like a really really caring person (if he's not getting pissed off at annoying, overbearing coworkers or, alternatively, kids), and I believe he would catch on Elizabeth's moods and needs.

It would probably take a while, well into season 2 at the earliest, that they would start to get to know each other on a personal level. Maybe he'd see her sitting alone at lunch and ask if he can join her. Later on they have catch-up sessions over coffee. Slowly but surely she lets her walls crumble to let him in.

Going along with the jumping puddles canon, once Radek has his own bar, Elizabeth sometimes hangs around there. He tells her all about pigeons, she lets him vent about Rodney (she sometimes joins), she tells him about all her work with the UN which he is fascinated by.

I feel like they would both be into card games and sometimes when someone stumbles late at night into the bar they find them playing cards still at 2am.

Also, Radek probably realizes his crush at some point but it doesn't change anything bc it's not a crush that he wants to act on and over time it turns into a deep fondness that is in fact requited.
