when a game is so good that you can't help but complete it twice ๐ can't quite put into words how much I love this game and what it means to me ๐ here's to the sequel being even better still ๐
okay, is it just me, or does Jesse Polaris sound absolutely adorable here?? ๐ฅบ I hope we get more of her in the future, we were robbed by only getting 2 lines of dialogue, honestly ๐
whenever she's on my mind and I'm imagining the types of songs and bands that Jesse Faden would listen to, I always come back to this one, it totally has her vibe along with most of this band's output in general ๐
feel free to correct me if I'm at all wrong, though I'm pretty sure this is the only scene in the game where we see Jesse in live action? ๐ง which seems like a strange underutilisation to me considering Remedy's usual tenacity towards using live action clips wherever they can ๐ค
okay, so please don't tell me I was the only Remedy fan who had a full-on nerdgasm when they heard the classic Alan Wake 1 soundtrack playing during this section of Alan Wake II?? ๐ฅบ๐ part of me wishes it lasted longer, although the original soundtrack is so iconic, atmospheric, and indeed memorable, that even during a short gameplay section like this, it does its job ๐
I doubt I'm the first person to point this out on here, but Thomas Zane sounds A LOT like Alan Wake here, to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if it was Matthew Porretta voice acting during this scene ๐ค I have to wonder what it all means though, of course there's the obvious Alan/Zane parallels and connections that this just lends even further credence to, but also this is the second out of THREE unique voices that "Thomas Zane" chooses to use ๐คจ Just makes me question even further who he is or is even meant to be, though if nothing else I reckon the Dark Presence in the Dark Place certainly played its role in overcomplicating things for it's own nefarious purposes ๐ป๐
I've been thinking recently, why hasn't anyone done anything on the subject of an Alan x Rose ship? Being honest, it wouldn't be anywhere near close to being coherent or canon, but at the same point I reckon there's a lot to go off with that pair. For instance, how would Rose react? It's basically everything she's ever wanted, would she think it's too good to be true? Alan would be fun to explore too seeing as the first game makes a point of him stating that he really doesn't like the fans, especially the obsessive ones, but in a way warms up to her and the idea in the sequel. I know Alan is canonically married to Alice, but with the fact that people ship him with Saga or Alex Casey or even Scratch, would it really be a stretch to see any kind of fics and especially art on this ship? Especially as there is already some interest there from Rose's side at least.
