Wren. 20+. He/They. Proselfship. Excessive dark themes: yandere (violent romantic obsession), stalking, dubcon, unhealthy relationship dynamic, power imbalance, large age gaps. I am in LOVE with Jeffrey Dean Morgan: if the character is played by him, I’m f/o-ing them.

sorry this is really badly written, but like
imagine, you've just come out of a night terror or flashback. you're stressed. you're shaking. you're scared. your head hurts and you're crying. your F/O offers to comfort you by hugging you, holding your hands, anything like that as that's the best way they know how, but you push them away.
instead of leaving you alone, they sit some distance away from you, not making eye contact if that's not comfortable right now. assuring you that you can come to them if or when you're ready.
and when you're ready, you go to them. they envelop you in their arms, holding you tightly, rocking you gently. teaching you that it's okay to ask for help. it's okay to seek comfort when you need it. touch doesn't have to be weird or scary or painful. touch is okay when it's from someone you trust.

imagine your human f/o trimming your claws while you reluctantly let them.
maybe you weren’t in the mood for it, maybe you felt you didn’t need them trimmed just yet, maybe you liked them that length…. but your pout (you repeated multiple times you weren’t pouting)((you were pouting)) almost made them chuckle.
#🔫 j.d.#when the alien hybrid genes start mutating my body and HIS body can only take so much clawing#like ofc i’ll let him becaus i don’t enjoy hurting him but also. boooo this sucks booooo i hate that we have to do it#i’ll pout but he reminds me that he’s got gauze on his back from… nightly activities… and i keep my mouth shut

Defending some of my guys is so funny because most of them are extremely polarizing and are massive dickheads to anyone who isn’t me. like how am i gonna convince simon that ed’s a good guy when simon just watched ed mace somebody with hand sanitizer after also personally being insulted vigorously the entire ride before this
#🛡️ed#🎞️ headcanon#em#i mean ed had his moments with simon by the end that were really sweet! he was a massive cunt to him the first half of the movie

“About 15 years ago I was riding my motorcycle in LA and spotted a guy beating up his girlfriend outside a 7-Eleven. I pulled over to break it up and she coldcocked me from behind with a bottle. She wasn’t grateful at all.” - Jeffrey Dean Morgan (X)

🤖Expant Self Insert🤖
Name: Wren Woods
Age: 25
Pronouns: They/He
Family: John Woods (paternal uncle). Molly Woods (aunt by marriage). Ethan Woods (adopted cousin). Adam Woods (father). Rowena Woods (mother). Angelina Woods (little sister).
Love interest: JD Richter
Background: Wren is the eldest of Adam’s two children. Adam wasn’t involved in Humanech’s (Extant’s version of an android) development like his brother, only vaguely understanding the science behind it. But after TAALR’s creation and corruption, all of John’s family was registered as collateral in the AI’s eventual uprising. In an effort to isolate John, TAALR hacks the security of a complex series of vehicles and traffic systems, leading to what would go down as a horrific highway tragedy. Many people died with the AI’s sole goal being killing John’s brother and extended family. Desperate, having lost everybody, John has a near-dead Wren transferred to Humanech’s headquarters without telling anybody but Spencer, who helped orchestrated it, and Julia, who inspired John for what he was about to do. He couldn’t save all of them, but he could save Wren. John turns Wren into the first and only Alien/Humanech hybrid, replacing damaged organs with the same guts used for inorganic transplants (like Julia’s legs) and for operating Humanechs (Ethan), down to a physical port drilled into the base of their skull to replace a Humanech’s operating core to keep their body running. Infecting them with the space spores that Molly brought back from her 13 months in space to ensure the surviving organic tissue would accept the transplants. Taking a page straight out of HAL (movie), after studying the volatile reaction Wren has during their recovery, John frequently rewrites their codes and wiping their memory. His second successful Humanech after Ethan is a replica of Wren’s baby sister, Angel, as a last ditch effort for mental and emotional recovery, banking on the siblings old codependency from childhood. It worked, but left Wren in a really bad way when the government seized Humanech-Angel, who had an advanced AI that closely resembles what John made with TAALR. JD met Wren during this tumultuous period in their life in a case that would always stick out to JD as the start of something… well. Something changing.
Important Story Points:
The job JD took that introduced him to Wren was the only job he’d gotten as a patrol specialist (read: mercenary cop) that he didn’t bid for: it was personally offered to him. This case was to investigate the disappearance of Humanech-Angel, who had been living as a human and was treated as a “kidnapping”. A lot of red flags popped up before he even accepted it, but the payout was insanely high in exchange for operating under an NDA.
Wren worked with JD as a witness on the case, and JD was doubling as both investigator and body guard, because while neither Wren nor JD knew it, John knew if the word got out for what Wren was, they’d be picked apart under a microscope, a lab rat until they died. They got a chance to bond just enough for JD to be disoriented and secretly pissed that the case suddenly gets red-taped and he’s thrown off it, and out of Wren’s life. They weren’t extremely close, but it’d been enough time and so abrupt that it didn’t sit right with JD, but at this point in his life, he doesn’t push back like he would later.
Wren contacts JD the night of John’s sudden and suspicious death. He dropped everything to go be with a mourning friend, knowing that they were now family-less (by blood). It didn’t help that Molly was involuntarily admitted to that “Rest” hospital and Ethan was seized by the government. They spent about a week together before JD had to move on with his life.
A year afterwards, JD and Wren cross paths again and Wren reveals that the case surrounding their family was being silenced and abandoned. JD’s reluctant to get involved too deeply because he doesn’t believe in conspiracies like the tinfoil hat shit being thrown at him with the Humanechs and alien hybrids. Over time, they fall in love, and JD sacrifices everything for them.
Wren’s dysphoria comes through less as gender in this universe and more through the fact that they are a Humanech cyborg with DNA that was mutated into an alien hybrid like Molly and Adhu. Their major character arc is dealing with the truth of their new body, the perversions done against their will instead of letting them die with their family, the loss of autonomy, and mourning the loss of their own identity as well as the deaths of their family and little sister, not just once but twice when Humanech-Angel dies.
Wren’s relationship with JD is crucial to their personal character arc but isn’t solely focused on him. He helps them feel human, but everything they accomplish and heal from is by their own doing. JD just gives them the chance to take back control of their life and to have the life that had originally been stolen from them, such as the option to get married and have kids.
