the reason imo why hera and zeus is so messy is bc zeus keeps doing shit that puts distance and hurt between them , and hera reacts to the hurt badly and reinforces that distance between them and the stupidest thing abt it all that they also physically cannot exist without each other and is actually the most insufferable beings ever without the other , more so than before SOMEHOW

because they're EQUALS. if not in power then in pure malice, wits , leadership , jealousy , passion , PRIDE , there is genuinely and canonically nobody else in greek mythology who truly matches zeus's freak as hera does and it was only when he proudly acknowledged that was when they reconciled.

Hera's moments in the Iliad that have been underrated:

Seducing Zeus: She puts on the belt of Aphrodite and seduces Zeus to distract him from the battle.

She helps Diomedes: Hera strengthens him in battle, making him capable of fighting even gods.

Scolding Artemis: In one scene ,she grabs Artemis's bow, hits her with it, and mocks her as if she were a small child.

She allies with Athena: The two often work together, for example, when they go to help the Achaeans. (Ares in the background is clearly not happy with this)

Hera in general in the epic was cunning and smart to influence the circumstances to her advantage. Her character in general was more than arguing with Zeus on a daily basis 😅

I don't understand the argument that expanding copyright law can be dangerous for people in fandom spaces like fanartists and fic authors. It's been pretty much settled that fanart and fanfic are not copyright infringement because they're protected under fair use.

Fanart and fanfic are, in fact, still copyright infringement and still technically illegal.

Fair use is an affirmative defense, which is a legal argument that acknowledges that the defendant broke the law, but presents reasons why they should be excused from liability for their unlawful action, or their liability should be reduced.

So claiming fair use doesn't mean something stops being illegal under copyright law, it means you are admitting that you broke the law by violating someone else's copyright, but you're arguing the violation was minor or justifiable enough and what you created with it was transformative enough that you shouldn't be punished for it.
