Ooh! Link?
So I did a thing for Holmestice...the ask was for ACD/Victorian fake couple and I did it, using RESEARCH 🧐
Holmes and Watson must pose as a couple for a case at the mysterious Order of Chaeronea. During that investigation, they witness the misbehaviour of Sir Eustace Brackenstall. Several weeks later, Sir Eustace is murdered on his estate in Kent, the Abbey Grange. Inspector Stanley Hopkins requests the assistance of the great detective in solving the case. A retelling of The Adventure of the Abbey Grange with a twist; a twist with historical validity.

I am currently in the middle of two case fics.
One which I’ve been planning for the better part of a year and am not finished with the rough draft.
Another in which I write whatever bullshit pops into my head.

Clingy needy Sherlock Holmes I love so much
How did this man get by being alone for so long when he’s hooked onto Watson like a fish is on a hook.
Maybe it’s because he finally expierenced friendship and he just ate it up and now his true feelings are coming out

What I am looking forward to in Sherlock & Co.:
The Greek Interpreter: I REALLY, REALLY want to meet Mycroft! And I can’t wait to see the cute interactions between the Holmes siblings. ❤️
The Devil’s Foot: Sherlock poisoning himself and John could be absolutely hilarious. I hope this plot is described in a delightful and funny way.
The Final Problem: This will be the most painful one, but I’m very curious about how the podcast will handle this case.
The Empty House: My theory is that John will definitely punch Sherlock at first. Then he’ll give him a big, warm hug, holding his detective in his arms, shivering and crying badly, and say: “I’m glad that you’re alive. Welcome back, my dear companion.” 🥹

A Study In Scarlet ACD -
“Lucy was silent, but her blushing cheek and her bright, happy eyes showed only too clearly that her young heart was no longer her own” (p. 61).
Compared to John’s descriptions of Sherlock in the same story:
“My companion flushed up with pleasure at my words, and the earnest way in which I uttered them. I had already observed that he was sensitive to flattery on the score of his art as any girl could be of her beauty” (p. 34).
“His eyes fairly glittered as he spoke, and he put his hand over his heart and bowed as if to some applauding crowd conjured up by his imagination” (p. 18).
(Using a “The Complete Sherlock Holmes” published by Doubleday & Company, Inc)

Nobody turned Watson into an unreliable narrator. He did it to himself.
yeah i turned your boyfriend into an unreliable narrator. sorry. yeah, he's exaggerating aspects of the story to cast himself in a better light. he's obscuring the narrative he doesn't want to think about. he's misrepresenting others to further his own ends. yeah, i think he's doing it as some sort of emotional defence mechanism. his story cannot be trusted. sorry.

I want to point out that Holmes is actually an incredibly direct and communicative person instead of the brooding asshole with a heart of gold whose emotions only slip through in rare instances of distress. Believe me when I say that I enjoy such a character as much as the next person but that is not Sherlock Holmes.
If Book Holmes likes you or appreciates your company, he WILL let you know. He will tell you that he is happy you're here and that he wants you to keep helping him with his cases and that he needs your assistance. You will NOT have to wait until he or you are nearly dying for him to tell you that he actually cares about you.
