I think the mere fact that Bellatrix is the best Death Eater should make you understand how intelligent, fierce and proud she is. Instead she is often just called crazy. Poor Bella, fourteen years in Azkaban, murders and tortures, dozens and dozens of enemies defeated to be reduced to this.

"Lost in love, I am lost, for you. / Your sensual kiss / Ideal caress / I cannot forget. / And I keep on dreaming / Your name I'm still calling / Only ever think of you. / Lost in love, I am lost, for you." - Luiz Bonfá, Perdido de Amor.
This song played last week on my Spotify and I immediately thought of Marcel and Dorothea. Luckily, I had a comic a I could use to do this lil edit only I will ever care about but still wanted to make it. I'm a lil obsessed with this concept of erased people in imagery, I'm working on a painting with that on and I don't know, it makes sense.
I wanted Dorothea to be in Black and White because that's Marcel's influence on her (and she's entirely out of black color in the reminiscing figure, which means his influence faded with time) while Marcel is fully blackened and filled with stars, which shows how vast and unreachable he always was.
you can read the entire dorotheaverse on AO3 (here)

I really like the word “smitten”. because at first glance you just think of sappy lovey-dovey stuff but also you have to remember this is a word that’s born of the word “smite. a devastating word. a word that, summarized, means stricken. smitten means stricken as well — struck with devastating affection.

"Lady Eilhart's 18th birthday was marked down as one of the most exciting events of the year. Nobody had expected that young and awkward girl, who so suddenly had inherited a title that could impact politics so heavily, to come back from her trip abroad a dashing socialite. Accompanied by one of the most desired bachelors, Lord Asriel, the young Marchioness wore a stunning blue gown and a sapphire necklace. One can appreciate the effect time has on people and we look forward to Lady Eilhart's next party to dazzle London's elite!" — DAILY MAIL'S GOSSIP COLUMN, January, 1978.
"It was hard for Dorothea to navigate this world of lords and ladies, of men of influence and calculated words. Even with all the education and preparation the past three years had given her, she still felt like a young and inexperienced child, her austere father's shadow looming over her, expecting her to fail at her duties as the new Marchioness. He had always predicted it, so it must have been true. Astraeus gave her strength, he guided her through these endless conversations, with Asriel at her heels, nagging her at every instant to fulfill the role she was always meant to do. He intended to be supportive, Dorothea knew, but his actions did more harm to her than any good. He didn't understand what it felt like to be in her shoes, an inexperienced woman with a lot of power out of the blue.
Not to mention that having him by her side gave people things to talk about, to gossip, to rumour. Nothing reached her ears, but she sensed the conversation all the same. People would never accept they were just friends, that he had never touched her and he never would. Dorothea took a deep breath, then a sip from her champagne and smiled, as if her life depended on it.
On the outside, it would've seemed effortless, and with time she would learn to be more comfortable in pretending to be that dashing socialite with smashing parties everyone wanted her to be. Then the scholar with her neverending thesis on Dust, then the spy who fell in love with the monster she would have to slay, if only eventually. She pretended for so long she even began to believe it herself."
A quick practice of Dorothea and Astraeus I did before I worked on commissions. It turned out so nice I had to do a lil polishing.
