Anyways... I just wanted to say that you seem really cool. You're very fearless by being open about your identity; whether that be as a butch lesbian or your diagnoses ( I also have a personality disorder [different one] :/ ). Being outed at a young age has left me very secretive and withdrawn in general so I see you as very powerful in your boldness. Also you're funny as fuck.

Thank you soso much. I guess I was kind of blessed because my father is actually a psychologist so i’ve always been able to talk to him about my personality disorder and whatnot. Being a butch lesbian isn’t something i can necessarily *hide* when you look like me so it just came naturally hahaa. I’m so sorry you were outed, though! That must’ve been so hard. Please remember that you a lovely wonderful person and i’m very glad you reached out to me. (Teeheeee i’m funnyy.. thank youuuu.. 🥹)

Don't worry about it. I was worried that I might have made you uncomfortable somehow so I felt bad 😭😭. Also you are a bit intimidating...

But yeah, my dad got me into The Doors too. He dragged me and my brother along to Jim's grave when we were visting Paris all those years ago. Me and my brother were super bored and disinterested but then some random guy hopped the low fence surrounding Jim's grave and poured some wine onto his grave before taking a giant swig from the bottle. He than played 'Light my Fire' on some sort of portable music device and began to dance like Jim ( or at least tried to. He looked like a worm lol.) The other vistors just watched on and me and my brother were just... astonished. Transfixed. When I questioned my dad about this he explained that the man was celebrating Jim's wild, party boy ways and essentially 'having a drink with him'. That has always stuck with me as I have never seen anyone respond to death in such a way. And for Jim's existence still have such a profound effect decades after his death is quite powerful.

It planted the seed of intrigue.

But anyways, I think it's sweet that you got the interest in the Doors from your father. A big chunk of my taste in music is generational and from both parents. Something they unintentionally gave me.

And yeah, Wintertime Love is a good one. So pretty and atmospheric. I loved playing it when it was cold and snowing outside. And going back to Jim being a high femme Lesbian... Jim is hot but he'd be wayyyy hotter if he was a woman lol 😆  I don't think I could handle it. But a cool dude, nonetheless

I also got my music taste from both my parents! Not so much my mother because I don’t live with her now but she showed me Kraftwerk at a very young age and I loooved it.

Anyways, since I'm guessing you're in France, I was wondering if you've ever visited Jim's grave. If you did... how was your experience? If not, how do you feel about him residing in your country?

I just ask because I was a child when I visited him and I had a really interesting experience in the graveyard. ( l'm not implying anything supernatural happened...just fascinating...{it's a loong story}) And it was a little over 10 years ago, so smartphones were just beginning to become more acessible, which made the instance less of spectacle and more intimate amongst us vistors. I'm curious if anything has changed since my visit. It definitely sparked my interest in the band.

Finally...what are your favourite songs by the Doors? And how did you get into the band?

hi! sorry for quite the late response I wasn't receiving any notifications. (Votre français est très bon, ne vous inquiétez pas :).) I haven't seen Jim's grave just yet, actually. I live in the south of France so getting to Paris is more trouble than its worth- The last time I visited Paris was when I was about 13, and back then I was knee deep in my Smiths hyperfixation (long story) so I wasn't completely interested. I'd love to visit, though! I can guarantee it would be a very emotional experience for me :'). My father got me into The Doors! He's always loved them, but I didn't really show any interest until he made me watch The Doors Are Open with him. Good stuff. To answer your last question, my favourite song currently is Unhappy Girl, but its always also bouncing between Not to Touch the Earth and Wintertime Love aswell.

HAHAA THANK YOU. this is very reasurring I've always been a bit worried my humour was too much to a degree. thank-you thank-you. The Femme-Butch thing is genuinely my greatest work I don't know what id do without GNC Ray Manzarek. ABOUT MY DREAM. It was honestly very absurd. for the first half, I was a taxi driver, and I was taking Ray somewhere, and the guy kept talking and talking a;nd weirdly it was in English. Not too good at English listening skills so I was nodding along. Mhm mhm yes whatever you say sir yes- that and whatnot. Then I was home, and I was watching television. They were broadcasting a story about Jim, and I quickly realized that. Waittttt, this guy is dead. This isn't real! it woke me up at about 5 am.
