It is 1996 and the headlines scream danger: mass escape from Azkaban. Ten of the most dangerous wizards alive, free. They’ve tortured and killed and cursed and now they roam the streets again. They have rejoined their brethren. They have returned to their rightful place at the side of their master. It is only the beginning. The tides have turned: Death has come again. A POC and LGBT friendly RP.

Note
This isn't meant to be attacking or anything, I'm just genuinely wondering; do you currently ship incest / will it be present here, or was it just in your old para sample to show off your writing?
I would definitely say I’m open to it? It’s very much to do with the person playing Amycus, their ideas, chemistry etc. So I can’t say it will be present here but it could be.

you don't have to publish this at all in case it might start some big overblown conversation, but you guys responded really well to that one "poc" ask and y'all are doing such a good job overall, like it's really hard to find admins right now who really are committed to making their group safe and not too extreme in one way or another!! <3
Thank you! I really am committed to diversity in this group and it’s so nice to feel appreciated!

Thank you for Ariadne. I feel like that mythic Zabini woman gets overlooked or whitewashed often because she's an archetype we pretty much never see black women as. Rich, famously beautiful. A literal black widow. She's not a good person but she's a good character and I love it.
Yes!! I love Ariadne for all of those things. I think all but maybe two of the characters here are bad people but that doesn’t make them uninteresting, or two dimensional. I hope they’re all people who make bad decisions with complicated motivations and Ariadne is a favourite of mine so I really would love to see an app for her.

Our first batch of skeletons has now been posted! I’m working on our opening event right now and I’m so excited to answer any questions you might have!!

Note
hey guys! you are using the term poc wrong. poc characters doesn't make sense in context, person of color characters, for example, doesn't make sense to say. i understand having diversity, but please make sure your language actually reflects that understanding of diversity otherwise it makes you guys seem ignorant and not practicing what you're preaching! just thought you should know. good luck.
Hi! Really not sure that a syntactical error is equal to being ignorant and racist and you’ll find that it’s a phrase used in one ask and not on any of our pages, such as our FAQ but thank you for your input!
If you would like to discuss this further off anon I would happily do that, but I would rather it be a discussion than an anonymous ask.

I wanted to let you know I was thinking of applying until I saw that you wrote and shipped incest, while I definitely can't change that, if you think you might be struggling with getting apps -- this may be why! But from one incest abuse survivor to an admin, please, please, please, make sure to tag that much more clearly and be much more upfront about it as it was triggering for me, even with the slight trigger warning. Mentioning that incest will occur in the rules would be helpful.
Hi! I’m personally not very worried about getting apps, thank you! Neither Alecto nor Amycus bio’s mention incest, and the only mention I have of it is in an old para sample in the sample app, which is linked to another page and clearly labeled with the trigger warning - I couldn’t tag it as it’s a page, not a post. I have, however, updated the rules to reflect that there will be dark and possibly triggering content in this roleplay and that it will be labelled as such.

Just found this and it looks absolutely incredible. Why don't you have more apps??? Wow.
I’d like to think it’s because people need time to write apps and we have just finished posting skeletons! I hope! But thank you so much!!

ELIAS CRABBE
“The heart asks more than life can give, When that is learned, then all is learned; ”
The Crabbe’s are among the many peripheral families that line the edges of pureblood society, filling ballrooms but rarely dinner tables. Minor characters in the larger charade. It was not always this way, Elias will tell you. A hundred and fifty years ago the House of Crabbe was on it’s way to the renown felt by the Blacks, the Notts, the Carrows, but two generations of gamblers left the family in financial ruin and social disarray. The generations since have sought to correct this through the usual means of social ascension: marrying above their means. Elias’s mother came from a Mexican family of some status but little money and he grew up as one might in such circumstances: arrogant and broke. Many of Voldemort’s followers did not need financial incentive but Elias needed a very material reward for his participation. After all, what is he if not his legacy? What is he if not his last name?
connections:
Ophelia Crabbe: He genuinely cares for Ophelia, though he knows she resents him for her disability. He wishes to make her happy.
Charlotte Burke: It is Charlotte he has gone to for help in “curing” Ophelia - not that he minds her the way that she is - he believes that if anyone can find something to help his wife, it is Charlotte Burke.
Isaac Nott: It’s only natural that someone looking to restore their family name is drawn to those with the status they want, and Elias has attached himself quite firmly to Isaac.
ELIAS CRABBE is AVAILABLE and portrayed by ADAN CANTO.

ISAAC NOTT.
my body has grown cold like the stripped fields; now there is only my mind, cautious and wary, with the sense it is being tested. “
Tired-eyed and heavy of heart, Isaac Nott was one of the few amongst Voldemort’s inner circle who felt no joy at his return, felt no compulsion to come when they were called. Yet, their arm burned and they donned their gilded mask. Why? Why have they done all that they have done in the course of their life? Fear and expectation. What else is there? The grandchild of Cantankerous Nott could not remain outside of the struggle for pureblood supremacy and Isaac was a meek child, easily intimidated into signing their life away for a cause they could care less about. Intimidated into marraige and left with a dead wife and an infant son. Intimidated into killing and left with hands bloodier than they can bear. They have never made a stand, willing always to kneel, to do as they are bid and so they have come back. But one person can only take so much and this time, the destruction will be absolute, the blood no longer confined to their hands. Will they take it as they have always done? Or does Isaac have a breaking point, some courage in their well-trodden bones?
connections:
Liynaa Nott: Isaac’s half-sister - to whom they are forever indebted. It was Liynaa who came after the death of their wife, and it is Liynaa who helped them to raise their son. They would be in dire trouble if she were ever to abandon them.
Peter Pettigrew: Isaac hasn’t realized it yet, but the two have more in common than they would like to believe - perhaps they will find a kindred spirit.
Elias Crabbe: The two have been friends for some time now. Isaac enjoys Elias’s company, even if he is sometimes quite forceful.
Isaac is non-binary but their pronouns are flexible.
ISAAC NOTT is AVAILABLE and portrayed by RAMI MALEK.

MAEDBH TRAVERS.
"you think I’m not a goddess? try me. this is a torch song. touch me and you’ll burn.“
Few people get to choose their own names. Maedbh chose hers with great deliberation. Queen Maedbh of Connacht, her namesake, a warrior queen who ruled over Maedbh’s own home in Irish myth. It’s a fitting name for a woman so noble, so driven, so willing to do anything to get what she wants. And what does she want? Power and respect. To rule. She is a leader, not a follower but she can perform obedience to the Dark Lord. He has promised her a place at his side when he ascends to power in the wizarding world. He has promised her Ireland for her loyalty but he has seen inside her head, he knows what she craves, has seen the pure ambition that burns through her in place of blood. She must, more than any other, prove her loyalty again and again. Is it worth it? Fifteen years of her life, lost in Azkaban and test after test? The Dark Lord has returned and Maedbh has come back to his side, but he must prove to her now that he can come through on his promises of power.
connections:
Ophelia Crabbe: Two old friends. They meet often to gossip and Maedbh encourages Ophelia to be demanding and violent.
Lydia Selwyn: Maedbh isn’t sure what exact use she will have for them yet, but Lydia is a wildfire waiting to happen and she wants to be the one to position them, to light the match.
Nicolai Mulciber: Mulciber’s devotion irkes and intrigues her. She wonders if he is pliable, if he would follow someone else under the same banner.
*Maedbh is a trans woman and her FC must reflect this.
MAEDBH TRAVERS is AVAILABLE and portrayed by JAMIE CLAYTON.

LIYNAA NOTT.
“It hurts not to watch her, that’s how bright she is, like light off glass."
In good society, marriage is nothing but a contract; faithfulness rarely expected with one caveat: don’t make a mess. Liynaa is what those of good society would consider a mess. The illegitimate daughter, the half-blood, raised out of sight in quiet luxury. She was sent to Beauxbatons and not Hogwarts, a mistake her father banished from his mind as often as he could. She was a wildfire girl, with a loud laugh and romantic sensibilities, a girl who came from wealth and luxury with none of the heavy expectations carried by legitimate children. She was not built for war, nor was she ever ready for responsibility but they came for her anyway; Isaac’s wife, dead and a six month old son left behind. Liynaa was many things, flighty and beautiful and a little bit mad, but she was not uncaring. She returned to Britain to offer her help and support and found herself in the midst of soldiers, in the middle of a conflict she wanted no part of. The conflict has begun once again, and war is coming, violence and bloodshed that she cannot romanticize. She wants to leave, but she cannot bear to leave her family behind.
connections:
Isaac Nott: Her half sibling. They spent every summer together as children and she would do anything she could for them, but she blames them too, for bringing her and their son into this.
Yvaine Avery: A good friend. She understands Yvaine’s sense of duty, and wishes she could have that same iron resolve and utter dignity.
Castor Goyle: Although they aren’t awfully familiar, Castor’s softer artistic nature appeals to her and she enjoys talking to him, carefully avoiding talk of violence.
LIYNAA NOTT is AVAILABLE and portrayed by YASMINE AL MASSRI.

for OCs, would you allow vampire/werewolf/veela characters?
I would, yes! I have plans for some of those characters in our next batch but I would happily accept one or two before then! Those characters will definitely be limited in number though.

nicolai mulciber.
"they have been through the fire, and what fire does not destroy, it hardens."
Impulsive. Reckless. Destructive. Nicolai spent a childhood as the family disappointment — the Mulciber’s were not, traditionally, a family that made itself known in pureblood society. They were creators; artists and patrons of the art, never too concerned with politics or blood purity. Unlike many of his fellows, Nicolai was attracted to Death Eater ideology independent of his family and he feels himself all the more loyal for it. How many of his companions follow the Dark Lord because their fathers did? Far too many. Their devotion is nothing compared to his. He is an ardent believer, here for the cause and not just the things that come along with it, not to satisfy his own sadism or to secure power or to uphold a family tradition. He has martyred himself once, sacrificed fifteen years of his life for his master. Will he be called upon to do it again? And is he willing, now that he knows the cost? Has his faith been tainted by years lost, decaying?
connections:
Bellatrix Lestrange: A sort of competition has begun between them; both believe they are the most devoted of Voldemort’s followers and will do whatever it takes to prove it.
Antonin Dolohov: The two spent fifteen years on opposite sides of a corridor and sometimes shared conversation. They’re an unusual pair, but friends all the same.
Maedbh Travers: Nicolai is slightly unnerved by her interest in him, mostly because he can’t understand it. He doesn’t like her much — he finds her selfish.
NICOLAI MULCIBER is AVAILABLE and portrayed by SHEMAR MOORE.
