oce infodump ... i couldnt draw for the past month so instead i wrote some things... for fun... they are under the read more if you are interested... and now i still cant but drew some things nonetheless (for fun)... mam jeszcze ee 3 kolosy do zaliczenia i ten egzamin certyfikujący z angielskiego ale już widzę koniec horyzontu

they met at around 14. Perła was vaguely aware of her fathers "other family" while Ihor had no idea (never met their father and his mom refused to talk about him) so she was the one to go out and look for him. mostly fueled by the fact she didnt like her family very much. they are about the same age

Perła isnt her real name and is probably a nickname originating from her teenage years. most likely a reference to the polish brand of beer. Everyone calls her that to a point not many people know its not her legal name. Ihors teenage nickname, Palanyc (in universe its tied to a very well known spaceship disaster. its kind of like having your nickname be titanic… but in a meta sense its a reference to a type of bread. beer and bread) is not something his friends call him anymore often, usually just when they want to mess with him. With an exception for Oskar, who didnt know his actual name for over a year of them knowing each other

they got along rather well, mostly because of their circumstances. if they werent both problem children with no family they trusted they would not become such close friends at that time. Perła always had troubles making friends so she was often alone in her youth and Ihor had friends he didnt really like. they were both considered bad influence by each others families and werent welcome in each others houses

to be fair they were bad influence teens. other than just causing normal teenage problems Perła was very prone to stealing and liked getting into fights, especially with boys. Ihor shoplifted as well and in later teens had a drug problem that lasted into his mid 20s (mostly homemade and not very clean; look up polish heroin if youre interested). in general hes very prone to addiction

they both emigrated together in their late teens/early 20s and worked together for a while before each of them took a different path. Perła got into organised crime and later became more of a legend than a real person and Ihor worked in ship maintenance before having to go back into crime in his 30s. not something he wanted. Perła likes her life to a degree but shes also terribly lonely

they still keep in touch. Well mostly Ihor does. Perła tends to disappear and not reach out for long periods of time. theyre fine with it and their relationship isnt worse because of it. Hes used to her being rather avoidant. he also isnt as intimidated by her as their other friends tend to be, but he does view her differently than when they were teens; some form of hierarchy has formed, even if they arent exactly aware of it

With Owen's birthday being today, it felt like a good day to share the designs I got to make for the card deck community project! Here are my designs for Hardcore s4 Owen, myself, and Hardcore s5 Owen

I'm back on my C!Owen analysis bc why tf not 💪

This mainly focuses on how he acts as a protector, and his hunting of the demons and how it overlaps

Protection is a fundamental part of Owen’s character. It’s drilled into him from almost the moment he wakes up from within the clearing. We see it very clearly through the character of Rasbi- of which he explicitly searches out for and aims above all else to protect her. Throughout the “first season” of outsiders, Owen is contstantly looking out for everyone, to his own detriment. His role of “gatekeeper” not only shows his clear stance on how he feels he should protect the other members of the clearing. He believes he needs to protect these people, whether they want to or not, and whether Owen believes they deserve it or not. This can be backed up later in the SMP when Owen states that he’s “not doing this for [himself] but for Mohwee. Even if he says he doesn’t want that to happen.” When hunting the creature. The idea of protection is drilled into the character of C!Owen, as even after he makes the shift to Owen Keldor, he still attempts to defend his actions by claiming he was protecting the clearing, “I was protecting you all! … From them!”. However, the element of protection is a characteristic that mostly comes through in Owen before he gets his memories back.

Owen’s ‘hunting’ and murdering of the demons is another fundamental part of his character. As most of his adult life is spent with a searing hatred to the demons, without his memories, the Owen we mainly see within the maze is left quite childish. When his memories return in the reunion, his focus tunnel visions on disposing the demons- going after Apo, Guts, Rasbi, and attempting to kill Krow. Owen becomes obsessed with killing the demons, pushing away everyone that won’t help him benefit (e.g. by giving him information). Kyle and Magic are prime examples of this, as Owen turns down any idea of going into the dark maze to kyle in ‘Spill Your Guts’. Magic, in the same episode, is ignored and dismissed by Owen. Later in ‘The Butcher and His Flock’ she is berated by Owen when bringing up leadership. Owen’s full focus on murdering the demons is a huge part of what leads to his downfall, as his hatred outs him, “and what about Reddoons? We don’t even know what he is- what if he’s a-” and the reminder of all his actions and questions about the demons is what throws him over the edge.
