uhhh oh wow.

Okay, so I have not worked on Moss Quest for a long time. This is for reasons. I have been working on two games basically solo (music, graphics, code, etc.). Moss Quest production requires only two of these skills yes, but its hard to keep up with that many projects. I will return to Moss Quest at some point for sure. When I’m not as busy as I currently am, I know I am well able to create a lot more. However, as it stands, nearly all that effort is going into a secret project that I may or may not share soon. In the meantime, Chole’s adventure will continue one day, however far that may be.

Currently undergoing migration to mspfa

This blog will basically become defunct for actual pages. Devlogs, memes, etc. may still be posted from time to time. But actual comic content will be relegated to the mspfa page.

Chole begins to climb the tower upwards, with Shara closely following behind. The party continues their previous conversation regarding "Luinor".

Shara: and just for the record, he and i are NOT bffsies- you and i are! Chole: Riiight~ Let's suppose that is indeed the true answer from the deepest depths- the innermost core of the chasms of the ravines of your *oh so precious* heart- Shara: hey! i'm not kidding, chole! Chole: If that really is the case… what would that make him? Luinor, to you, is? Shara: just a buddy. Chole: Shut up. You and I both know- Shara: whatever!

More stairs. Oh well, the only thing to do right now is to keep climbing.

[A1] Shara: Check Terminal

Shara boots up the terminal. The dusty screen lights up! Surprisingly, it's running with no issue. The video feed flickers and data appears. Shara looks through the incoming flights. There it is. An outgoing flight for LOMAM, at 13:00 CT.

Shara: okay. dock a1, dock a1, dock a1, dock a- gotta remember that, alright?

Chole puts their thumbs up. They then grip Shara's wrist and make a mad dash towards the stairwell, dragging her behind them.

Shara: whoa! what is it, chole!? Chole: Gotta hurry! Not much time left… Shara: whaddya mean? don't we have like 20 minutes? Chole: What. Oh- Shara, look at the time. Shara: it's really been that long!? Chole: Yes! Yes you were talking to your BFF for forever!! Now come on!!! Shara: alright! alright!

Shara bursts through the door. The room is covered in pipeage and machinery. There is a computer terminal in the center of the room, screen currently blank, and a staircase to the right, ascending upwards. It looks like it goes on for quite a while; the two of them can't even see the ceiling.

Shara: oh wow. Chole: I am. In disbelief. Shara: tada? Chole: There's no way it'd be this easy, right? Shara: well, let's see here… Chole: What're you doing on your phone!? Shara! Shara: hold on! lemme check something… Chole: Check what!? We might as well rush up now before someone find out we're here! Shara: quiet! i remember luinor said something about this! it was while back on BudChat. a backdoor to the spaceport? Chole: He did what now. Shara: look i'll ask him about it again!

Chole follows Shara to the tunnel they came from, under the docking bay platform, for supposedly some way to ascend.

Shara: and here we are. Chole: ... Shara: what? Chole: A maintenance room? really? Shara: i dunno. just a hunch, but there’s bound to be something useful in there i think. Chole: Well, we aren't exactly stamped with that Bronze on our IDs are we? Shara: aha! that's where you failed to notice something. Chole: What. Shara: look again, chole. this door doesn’t have a reader! Chole: ...fine. I am incredibly suspicious of this door, but you know what-

Chole: Wait, but no actually. Think about the security. Can we really just sneak in? Shara: from what i saw: no guards, but it looks like it’s based on citizen id. there’s a reader outside the doors. Chole: Damn it. Silvers won’t have access to the warehouses. Shara: well you know, when it comes to data, we can always rely on- Chole: Pearly? We’re not dragging her into this, Shara. Also, unrealistic. Shara: well how about Luinor? Chole: I don't even believe half the shit he's said, there is no way he would actually be of help. Anyways, what're you even suggesting? Convince a freakin' Gold to come down here and help? Shara: your point has been made. well, there might be another way. Chole: Oh? Shara: we could steal some bronze worker's id- Chole: No. Shara: fine then. one last thing. follow me.

[A1] Chole: Wake up

After a moment of much needed respite, Chole wakes up. They find that the party has arrived at Sector 5. The party is currently behind a series of warehouses, likely filled with supplies to be transported above to the docks.

Shara: heya. Chole: Hi. Shara: you well rested? Chole: As much rest as I needed. Shara: so you're ready? Chole: Yeah. Shara: what’s the plan? Chole: I would ask AW for some advice, but summoning him out in the open would certainly attract some attention. Shara: so? Chole: Get to LOMAM right? That's our goal, but how're we gonna get to the docks? Can't exactly just walk into the elevator and ascend. Shara: well um- Chole: Wait. These warehouses, they're filled with storage containers right? Shara: mhm. can confirm. Chole: So couldn't we get into one of those? Then be carried onto a ship? Shara: yeah i guess.

> Chole: But wait- Hold it!

[A1] A moment of respite

The party makes their way to Sector 5. It’s a long drive from Chole’s place to the docking bay. The city lights shine oh so pretty in the radiance of that familiar blue sun. It’s a beautiful night outside. The cold breeze of the CORE hitting Shara’s face, while her best friend rests themselves on his back, keeping each other warm against the whipping winds of the night. The journey ahead, their QUEST, is indeed exciting. But being able to spend this nocturne under the sun with his confidant, that is what makes this moment worth. This may be one of the few moments of respite they may have after all, so it would be best to make it count.

Moss Quest Devlog:

Entry Number 2 -

My, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Well to start, nothing serious has really happened, I’m just spending more time on the Metroid fan-game I’m working on. I won’t elaborate here though, since that’s not the point of *these* logs. Back to Moss Quest, I finished up a couple of those music tracks I mentioned in the previous entry. I still have to work on the one for the mysterious next update, but that should be the easy part. Things are going, for the most part, smoothly, if a little slow.

Moss Quest Devlog: Entry Number 1 - Writing wise, things are going pretty smooth. I haven't updated because this next update is going to be more than just some pages. I'm sure you already know what it is. In other news, I've composed some more music tracks. One for Shara and the other one for Chole. This project is a pretty fun side thing to add to my list of, well, side things. Well, that's all for now.

[A1] Chole: Teach Shara how to drive

Chole recalls Armless Wizard into medallion form and the party exits  the house, so Shara can begin her “training”. Chole gives him a breakdown on the basics of operating a hover bike. It’s relatively simple and Shara gets the hang of it.

Shara: huh, not as hard as i thought it would be. Chole: Simpler than it looks, right? Shara: well hop on now! Chole: Thanks again for this. Shara: i should be the one thanking you, chole! you're the one teaching me to drive. Chole: Well, you’re welcome then. Shara: to sector 5, correct? Chole: *Yawns* Yup. Three hour trip, woohoo. I'm probably gonna sleep through it. Shara: good night then, chole. Chole: Night, Shara.
