its so so funny to me when people go “nightcloud yells at crowfeather if he disciplines breezepaw and coddles him” and the source for this claim is a scene where crowfeather just immediately assumes breezepaw fucked up a job and snaps at him and nightcloud is like. “hey maybe trust your son”. AND THEN (immediately after, literally the same scene), she scolds breezepaw for being rude to lionpaw and thanks lionpaw for his help. nightcloud actually reprimands his behavior (telling him not to be rude to somebody who has helped him), then gives an example of better behavior (showing appreciation for lionpaws help, in front of breezepaw), which is a far more effective form of discipline when you actually give a shit about your kid and want them to learn something.

also did you miss his introduction where whitetail complains that crowfeather never fucking disciplines his kid properly. he just snaps and yells at him (or LITERALLY HITS HIM) for random inane shit or annoying him.

honestly, starclan as a religion... kinda sucks. it acts more like a magical system, or something. there are no religious holidays, and there's no like,,, "rational explanation" for atheists and other cats that don't believe in starclan. like it's canon that starclan exists and they have a legitimate afterlife and these cats can also physically manifest on earth?? there's no folklore, like a creation story. apprentices don't have any pilgrimages to the holy site before getting their full name anymore. it's all so... empty and boring.
