I have a guy like that at my school too! We’re in the same friend group, but I honestly can’t tell if he likes me or hates me, so I guess that makes me his Crystal lol

theres this guy at my college who im convinced is real life edwin. he looks the same and dresses the same. like hes never not seen looking very put together. his 'dressed down' is still a button up or polo if its warmer, and khakis. but nice suit pants and a button up and vest and tie are what he usually wears. and his hair is always very nicely gelled. and he always sticks to mostly blue and grey and if not, neutral tones.

every once in a while, though, he will wear a red flannel so somewhere there has to be a real life charles influencing his fashion decisions.

i’m going to hold your hands when i say this and i am only going to be kind about it once: ai does not belong in fandom spaces, ever. not in writing, not in art, not in video, not at all. it does not matter how bad you want to see your favourite characters kiss, or how much you need a bit of help finishing a chapter, or whatever.

make friends with artists. commission somebody. learn to draw yourself. ask for a beta read. try a writing partnership. fandom spaces are communities, so engage with them! it is about the journey and the fact that we all love something enough to create and build together about that thing.

spending 30 seconds to kill a tree and get an AI to push out some soulless empty piece of “content” is antithetical to the entire point of being engaged with fandom, and if you’ve taken to doing this you should really reconsider if you belong in these spaces with the rest of us.

I think we need to talk about how being a called a himbo is a compliment and it’s seen as a positive trait (especially in fictional characters) while bimbo is still largely used as an insult and seen as a negative trait.

Like, you can imagine someone saying “I love Blorbo cause he’s a himbo. His antics are so funny!” but you can also imagine someone else saying “oh, I hate Blorba because she’s a bimbo. She always derails the main story.” And I have heard people say “I love Blorba because she’s a bimbo” but that’s a lot more rare and I’ve only ever seen it from young women. Personally, I have never seen someone say “I hate Blorbo because he’s a himbo.”

Also, bimbo is a porn category while himbo is not. I feel like the word himbo has been around long enough for it to be its own porn category, but it isn’t. Sure, a few specific videos or artworks use the word himbo in their titles, but it isn’t a category by itself the same way bimbo is. And even when himbos are in porn, they’re still being celebrated more than the bimbos. Sexy himbos are portrayed as charming, but sexy bimbos are still portrayed as annoying or irritating.

And yes, I know not everybody uses bimbo as an insult, and I know women can be himbos or men can be bimbos, but I think it’s telling that the masculine version of an archetype is celebrated while the feminine version of that very same archetype is still belittled. If bimbos are annoying, so are himbos. And if himbos are cool, so are bimbos. I don’t care which side you pick, but you can’t have it both ways without othering women and perpetuating misogyny.

(And before someone digs through my blog and tries to call me a hypocrite, yes I have used himbo as a compliment before. People are allowed to change their opinions.)

As much as I love School Spirits (which is a lot), I’ve always thought it would be so much cooler if the ghosts had some evidence of how they died. Not full gore, but little things that just seem off.

Wally’s head turning a bit too far, Charley’s voice always being strained, Dawn’s hair being constantly frizzy, faint bruises under Rhoda’s turtleneck, Yuri always being out of breath, Mr. Martin and Janet smelling like smoke, a dent in Quinn’s head, Mina being a little too flat when you see her from the side

It also would have added to Maddie’s mystery in season 1 since she wouldn’t have anything wrong with her. And in season 2, Janet would relish being able to smell something other than smoke. She’d forgotten the smells of flowers, dirt, sweat, and even clean air.
