meerkat manor was actually cancelled while filming season five because rocket dog , the whiskers clan leader was hit by a local farmers truck and they cancelled the show to avoid controversy .

i know this because i was an advid watcher and had all the tapes as a kid , and i’d watch them on repeat on a small tv and i cried when i found out because rocket dog was my childhood hero ?
