I honestly wish that they’re more PMVs and/or AMVs about HEATHERTAIL and her story and/or character.

Especially since whenever I see her within fan animations, they only shows Heathertail being a love interest to and/or mainly show her being in a relationship with another cat.

And that when I looked up any fan animations for Heathertail on YouTube, I only able to find 1 - ONE - PMV mainly about Heathertail and her story within the series.

I honestly think it would be neat to see at least a few more fan animations about Heathertail and her feelings, life, and struggles within the series.

Like how Heatherpaw felt when travel to The Tribe of Rushing Water, and seeing how awful Crowfeather is towards his son and her friend, Breezepaw.

How Heatherpaw felt when her friendship with Lionpaw was breaking apart, and how Lionpaw attacked, treated and blamed her for WindClan discovering the tunnels between his and her Clan within the Eclipse battle. How she felt when Lionpaw nearly killed her own mentor.

How Heathertail felt when she discovered that almost all of the cats around her age that she grew up with and probably befriended (Breezepaw, Harepaw, Antpaw, etc.) trained within the Dark Forest.

Why Heathertail decided to stand up and defend Breezepelt for participating in and/or training with the Dark Forest.

How Heathertail felt with her father, Onestar not being a good and/or just leader of her Clan.

How Heathertail felt when she learned that her father Onestar CHEATED on her mother, and that one of the very cat villains who’s attacking the Clans - Darktail - is her HALF-BROTHER.

How Heathertail felt when her father died from drowning with his son in the lake.

Also how she felt about how the imposter’s rule and his impact on the Clans, and that one of her daughters, Smokehaze, died within the battle caused by the imposter.

IDK, I just think that for her being a childhood friend and/or love interest of one of the main characters within PoV, Heathertail is a underrated character who deserves more attention, especially towards her story and struggles within the series.

Most of the lgbtq relationships in wof seem forced, or squished into the plot as a last resort to have some diversity in there.

And there aren't as many straight relationships as people think.

I started rewatching Buffy and forgot how much I HATE Xander. With a passion, I believe he is just the embodiment of gross and creepy. An incel before incels were a thing.

I have seriously no idea how Buffy and Willow stay friends with him other than for the narrative. If he was less toxic I think he would actually work as the character Joss Whedon tried to write him as. I think that there’s a part of his younger self that SHOULD be immature but beyond that he shouldn’t be so fucking PREDATORY. His relationship to women in this show is uncomfortable and gross. He never evolves out of his womanizer persona. He has basically no substance and is only in the friend group because of his toxic relationship to women. He never brings any real value to his friendships yet reacts horribly when he is dismissed by them.

His obsession with Buffy is just uncomfortable and NEVER ENDS. He acts as if he is owed affection by her when they first meet. He is only friends with her because he wants to go out with her and has sexual fantasies of her. That is doubled after he finds out she’s the slayer. His relationship with Buffy isn’t the only example. His dismissive relationship with Willow has always annoyed me. He basically ignored her until she started dating Oz, suddenly unable to hold himself back and play with her feelings for him. He is well aware of her crush on him and using that as an advantage to CHEAT ON CORDELIA. WHO HE HAD HARASSED AND MAKE EXPLICIT COMMENTS TO BEFORE THEY GOT TOGETHER. He treats all three of them horribly. It seems he is only ever friends with them in the goal of having sex with them.

Don’t even get me started on his predatory relationship with Dawn and the end of his relationship with Anya. It’s the exact same problem he has with every other woman in his life (other than his mother) AND HE NEVER CHANGES IN SEVEN SEASONS. HE IS BASICALLY JUST A PROP AND A WASTE OF SPACE WITH PREDATORY TENDENCIES. He is literally just Joss Whedon’s self insert because there is no other use or value to Xander.

Now I have previously liked Xander. I don’t think he’s evil but that doesn’t change his disgusting behaviour and lack of respect towards women in his life. I really wish this aspect of Xander’s character was changed to bring value to the story or deepen his connection to women to something more than just sexual. I think there are ATTEMPTS to do so but to me they usually fail and the result is the same as season one Xander.

This is an ever evolving opinion I have of Xander, one I have been sitting with for like 5+ years. With my current rewatch I’m gonna keep it in mind and expand on my thinking as I go through the seasons.

The amount of Kestrel haters here is funny, if anything. Like oh no you're mad that a fictional dragon is violent and unpleasant? Then you're also closing an eye to how abusive other dragon parents are. Get a life lol, I think she could have gotten a fun character development arc, because that's why characters are imperfect - to give room for change, regret, and evolution.

Yall act like other DoD caretakers were any better. They also allowed and partaked in abuse. But that doesn't mean they deserved death.

Okay, so looking at my notes about Clay, he:

1: Believes himself to be solely responsible for keeping his siblings safe no matter the cost because he's the biggest and oldest (by like 20 seconds mind you)

2: Blames EVERYTHING that goes wrong on himself, to the point where he genuinely holds himself responsible for the deaths of others he has only been a witness for

3: Would rather die then let his loved ones worry about him because That's His Job and He's Fine, He Swears It

4: Was probably the one who got beaten by Kestrel the most as a kid because she was "trying to make that monster come out," and she wouldn't stop until he was unconscious

5: Believed for his whole childhood that there was really a "monstrous" side of his waiting to overtake him, and possibly that it would go after the only people he cares for in the world again

6: Thinks himself to be a failure because he can't be that monster, that he's the weak link in the prophecy, and that he has nothing to offer except HIS OWN LIFE

And one more that is my own speculation, 7: Puts up a front of being nothing but a lovable goof and foodie so that no one will look beyond the surface and realize that he has fears and doubts of his own. Because he's supposed to be the foundation, and he can't crumble on them. Besides, it's not like a monster who's at the center of everything bad that's happened to them deserves love, right?

In conclusion, the lad's due for a breakdown and I'm THIS CLOSE to making him go through it myself.

not to sound pretentious but a lot of discourse in warriors cats or hell in fandoms in general would be less headache inducing if you guys remembered they are not real people. they're narrative tools used as mouth piece by the author to tell a story or push a message first and foremost.

like to give an example maybe we should think more critically why a lot of female characters in these books base their entire self worth on motherhood. how a lot of the abusive mothers in this series, lizardstripe comes to mind, are cats who are noted to not want or like children and are more heavily criticised in universe for that than the actual abuse they dish out.

there's a clear message being pushed here by the authors, intentional or not, but whenever i see this brought up it always gets shut down with a dismissive "um she's an abuser of course she hates kids" as if she's a real person and not a narrative tool. did none of you pay a single ounce of attention in english class like please. i'm so tired.

forever gonna be insane about dawn memory/existence ret-con.

s1 dawn being barely eleven years old and the gang having to pick her up from middle school to walk her home before going straight back to the library. she's still little enough to want to play make believe sometimes and is more interested in fantasy books than her sisters friends. slipping notes under buffy's door when she's snuck out because she wanted to tell her stuff but she just wasn't there. buffy drowning, dying to the master, and dawn jerking awake in her bed, gasping for air.

s2 dawn being stuck in the library with giles for the first time and him realising just how young her and buffy are when they bicker. cordy taking one look at her and deciding to teach her about fashion, and then giving tips on how to deal with the mean girls at school. her screaming at buffy when she finds pieces of her diary ripped out and taped all over her walls, and buffy unable to explain why angel is acting this way.

s3 dawn so pissed at buffy for leaving she wrecks her room, takes a baseball bat to it and everything. starting to stick with xander and willow more because she doesn't have anyone else, goddamnit. refusing to talk to buffy when she gets back but crawling into bed with her to sleep. faith having absolutely no idea how to interact with her. getting turned into a witch during band candy. being absolutely delighted that sunnydale high blew up because "well now I can't go to highschool"

s4 dawn being weirdly quiet now that buffy is out of the house. thirteen years old and getting into music and magic and starting to hide away in her room whenever she's not at school. begging joyce to drive her up to buffy's dorm. ending up at giles' place all too often while the gang are planning and chatting with spike. knowing immediately that it isn't actually buffy in who are you but unable to explain it.

just. dawn actually being there for everything. and buffy knowing she's there, and protecting her as best she can. because she's real. she's real.
