“O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (pious and righteous)" [Quran ch.2: v.183]
ash-Shaikh Sāleh Āl ash-Shaikh حفظه الله said: “The greatest favour that Allah bestows upon His servant is to forgive his sins. This is by concealing them for him and erasing their affects. So the slave is not punished for them in this world nor is he punished for them in the hereafter. Had it not been for [Allah’s] forgiveness mankind would be destroyed.”
ash-Shaikh al-Imam Muqbil bin Hadī al-Wadi’ee رحمه الله:
“We are in a time of trials and tribulations (fitan), its obligatory to gain understanding (fiqh) of Allah’s religion, so that we distance ourselves from the fitan upon insight”.

“Allah, the Most High, has not created the people without purpose and in vain, He made them responsible for certain duties and obligations and imposed on them the task of understanding fully His instructions and following them”.
“He divided them into two groups: wretched and happy and set for each group an abode. He provided them with the sources of knowledge an acts, which are the heart, ears, eyes and other parts: all as a grace and bounty”.
“Whoever used them in His obedience and followed the path of His guidance and did not turn away from it, he had fulfilled the obligation of appreciating His bounties and chose the path of the pleasure of his Creator; and whoever used these bounties to satisfy his desire he did not take care of the right of his Creator, and will regret when he will be asked about it snd will suffer from lasting grief all the parts of his body are going to account for their action. Allah said: “Ears, eyes and heart all will be questioned””. (17:36)
