Can you rant about your Astrayed!au? I don't have any asks in particular, I just wanna hear more bout it :]

Sure, why don't I give the basic of who is with whom. :) Maybe the prologue?

So after the turtles were mutated along with Lou Jutso. There was, of course, a big fight with Barum Draxum. Lou Jutso was having a difficult time trying to escape with all the turtles and unfortunately it led to a large explosion of Draxum Lab. Now he was able to grab Mikey for sure, but he lost the other three in the scuffle.

After the explosion and Lou Jutso escaped. Draxum had to start rebuilding his lab and was working on cleaning out the ruble. It wasn't till after he removed some of the debris that he accidentally found little Donnie huddle into corner fairly close to the draining pipe. But it looks like the rubble around him kept him from slipping in. Draxum could only assume that his other creations must have slipped into the pipe. He would have to search for them later. For now he still has SS-3 and picked up Donnie and placed him in the care of the gargoyles for now.

Leo and Raph in their wandering around as the fight was going on did accidentally slip into a chemical draining pipe that led outside of the lab and into the yokai streets. Particularly by an alleyway close to Big mamas hotel. They most likely would have starved if it wasn't for a certain fox servant who was out buying some goodies for big mama and who happened to hear soft crying. He found the two and brought them back to the hotel to show them off to the other work mates and how adorable they are. Big mama gets curious why her workers are all huddled around and checks out the commotion. She instantly falls in love with the two "turtley-boos" and decides to take them in and have her workers help raise them. Though she takes them in more like pets then actually children of her own.

So as each turtle is raised by their individual parent. Neither of them know of the others existence. Mikey is lovingly raised by splinter, Donnie is raised by Draxum in a son/apprentice way. And Raph and Leo are raised together mostly by big mama staff, but are given a bit of affection by big mama till she sees some "talent" between the two.

No I will say splinter does try to find the others once Mikey is a little bigger to be left alone for a bit. But finds out it is nearly impossible to retrieve them from their new guardian, especially when he sees they are being taken care of in some way. He just doesn't want to rip them away from their parents at the age he found them. So his original plan is to return to watch and look over them from afar and eventually pull them out when he senses trouble. Hence the reason for the journal to track their progress. But once splinter finds out about the foot clans return. The plan ultimately is dropped in favor of training and fully supporting Mikey. No more sneaky father, it hurts, but for Mikey. It needs to be done.

Some design ideas of my Astrayed!AU along with notes. I just thought I share them here for fun! If anyone has any questions or comments about them I’m happy to answer them. Just don’t expect too much and give me time. I wanted to get this out of my system before I continue the traditional comic of early bird.

I’ve been looking at all these separate brother AUs for these guys and was inspired to make my own. Right now I’m just showing off Mikey. Mikey becomes an only child to splinter and has no memories of his brothers cause Splinter was only able to save him from Draxum and didn’t have enough time to save the others.

So it comes to a surprise to Mikey that one day April and him find splinters journal and find out that he has brothers. Both an exciting and terrifying time. I’d imagine April and Mikey really develop a strong Big sis and little bro energy. Now it looks like Mikey is going on an adventure to locate his brothers in what is known as the yokai world (without splinters permission of course) 

His objective, to find his brothers and convince them to help save humanity from the foot clan. They need all the help they can get if the foot is collecting pieces of shredders armor and hopefully have a bigger family.

I FORGOT DONNIE'S MUSIC TASTES IS LOUD OBNOXIOUS MUSIC, but the boy canonly SULKS to DUBSTEP I cannot

Casey Jr: *Yawns* Morning training!

Casey Jr: Master Leo....pssst... Master Leo!

Casey Jr: Leo! Leo! Master Leo! Wake up Master Leo! It's Morning training Day!

Casey: *yawns* CJs up and running. You know what that means...

Leo: *chuckles* After training he becomes your son again...

Early bird Casey Jr has been haunting my thoughts. So here's a cute little sneak peek to a traditional drawn comic page I'm working on. It's going to take some time, since it's been some time since I've done this.....I really hope this works. Thanks to @funneylizzie for stirring the idea with her little sleepy headcanon for Casey.

I liked the imagery so much I just doodled it and added some teddy bears that Raph gives him to hold and snuggle into.

Poor kid really does need more sleep. But I could also see him being an early bird and going on walks in the morning to take in New York's mornings. Maybe something he did before, but was for patrol reasons back then.

So how do you think it went when Casey Jr got to crash on a regular bed and sleep in (probably for the first time) like a normal teenager? Seeing as he probably didn't get those chances fighting for his life constantly with the Krang

OH MY GOSH. OH MY GOSH I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME.

Casey finally getting some proper rest for the first time in his life, after YEARS of sleeping with one eye open, in short naps spread throughout the day, after so many slow, agonizing, tiring nights where he had to be the lookout so the others could get some rest too. After FINALLY defeating the Kraang in his redo timeline, his brain is still so active. He has a hard time falling asleep, breaking a life long habit is not an easy thing to do!

The others will try to coax him into sleeping, give him a nice comfy place to sleep, whether it be a bed or the couch. Lots of blankets and pillows, they’re doing their best to show him the comforts of the present day because this boy has never gotten proper rest in his life.

It takes a while, but Casey FINALLY falls asleep during one of their movie marathons. He doesn’t intend to, but they were all just so comfy, and his brain finally took a moment to relax. This isn’t just asleep, it’s asleep asleep.

Boy is knocked for a good 20 hours after that, wakes up in a completely different room with blankets over him and the lights off. Dried drool on the side of his cheek, hair matted to one side, incredibly thirsty, doesn’t know what year it is, the wrinkles in the sheets and his clothes leaving little indent marks on his skin. He cannot form one single cohesive thought. It’s like one of those after school naps that just hit different

Some Leo expression tests and markers work! This was enjoyable to do and makes me feel happy to place colors in my sketchbook! Enjoy! I hope to work on Raph next!

So I feel dumb putting in all this work for a ref of an rotmnt oc. It started with me making an oc, then two more ocs, then a complete story, now I’m stuck with a complete season plot and back story for these characters and how they would interact with the main cast. Well I guess enjoy what I made.

I found an inking style I like while doodling ideas of my rottmnt oc Gizmo. I might do a practice one with the original boys for an expression practice! Anyway, just thought I share!

THIS TOOK TOO LONG FOR A STUPID JOKE. I WENT TOO HARD ON THIS.... But it was fun doing a comic strip....

Here are some doodles of some turtley-poos~ I have this small HC where after Leo is chosen to be the leader Raph starts giving him special “leadership training”. Which includes Night Patrols. You can see how that is working out.

Meanwhile Donnie is checking to see if he got any new followers!

Now here some more concept designs on Gizmo once I felt a little more confident in my ability to draw her. She is the hacker of the group and not really a fighter. Instead she uses her gadgets and scraper to help in getting away. She is the youngest in the group of theives and the least experienced. She isnt as proficient and techy as Donnie. But she can keep up....though she makes more mistakes and explosive ones at that.

Next up, my American Alligator design Ally! She is tough, large and beautiful to me. She is definitely the hitter in the thieving group and is ment to remove heavy obstacles, serve as a distraction, or just over all be a protector of sorts. She is definitely supposed to be around Raph size, if not a tiny bit bigger. Although large she moves pretty quick...if not for a short period of time. But get her in the water, she will be faster for longer. Her fighting style is very heavily based in wrestling and using her large snapping jaws. Enjoy!

Enter in my next design idea for a character. This time a rattle snake theif name Ivy. I'm not completely sold on the idea of her fangs showing. But I really enjoy her design. She isn't suppose to be that large compared to Leo. If anything she should be around the same height as Leo and Donnie. But definitely smaller then Raph. Her fighting style is quick and uses more striking motions like any rattlesnake. Dodging and weaving around enemies. But she isn't strong enough to fully constrict her opponents. I say just think of viper from Kung Fu panda in regards to her fighting style XD

She is a thief above all else though. So she probably runs away rather than fight. She is the mastermind and safe cracker of this thieving group I'm putting together for this world. Enjoy the concept.
