stayed up late last night reading fanfics, got up in the morning for my work shift, worked, came back home and now im reading fanfics again... and they say a job holds you back from achieving your dreams

throam yuri would be devastating on a whole different level. like they're an up and coming all female bad that are open about their sexualities (joe) and the critics are saying they'll split up won't last because women fight all the time which would make yuri ryan so mad... but then they do end up fighting all the time and split up but not because they're women but because they all hate each other

thinking ab throam yuri again but like. how would the dynamics be different if they were girls yk....i think what makes throam so good is that sm of the dynamic in volume 1 revolves around toxic masculinity especially w ryan and the time period so i do wonder how that would change if it were a female story

i think the stakes might be a little higher and they probably would have had a lot harder of a time climbing the ranks as an all female band, just barely scraping by in a way...they would probably already have lesbian allegations too LMFAO. i think it'd be such an interesting dynamic/change and honestly something id rewrite on my own

reading volume 2 for the first time in however long and i am so fascinated by brendon’s lack of guilt. like i really want to know what’s going on in his head. because the first time was just to get it out of his system (hello role reversal!) but after that…does he know it can’t last forever? or is he convinced that he can just have his cake and eat it to and not worry about the future?

also obsessed with the power dynamic between these two and how they both think they’re in control. ryan thinks he’s pulling the strings but deep down he’d do anything brendon asked of him. meanwhile brendon knows just how whipped ryan is for him but his own feelings are terrifyingly beyond his control.

the first time i read it i didnt understand how brendon could bail on his anniversary with shane. because up until that point, shane doesn’t know anything and brendon can pretend he hasn’t hurt him, but he knows this will crush him (and also be suspicious af but whatever). but ultimately brendon will do what he wants. give the choice between what he wants to do and what he should do, what he’s obligated to, what’s expected of him…he does what he wants, or at least what he thinks he wants.

i’m also really leaning ryan as an unreliable narrator like i don’t trust a fucking word he says. (for example vicky is most definitely not in love with him.) but also his need to be in control leading to him just…convincing himself that he is, all the time. he denies and denies until it gets big enough that he can’t deny it anymore, and then he crashes the fuck out. which is ironic because when it comes to brendon, he is completely and utterly powerless, and deep down he knows that.

anyway i’m tired and have spent the past three days in exams but jesus i wanna write a throam book report
