i’m not gonna lie...the idea of changbin wearing a shimmering kurta makes me feel things 🥵

yeonjun is kind of a flirty person, but he would never ever do anything to make you doubt your relationship. he’s such a loyal boyfriend, honestly, so he would act completely different around your fake friend. he doesn’t talk to her unless absolutely necessary. unfortunately, this doesn’t deter her, to the point that one day she comes over and, as she’s gushing about his hair, starts running her fingers through it. that’s when he decides he has to be really clear and probably hurt her feelings.

soobin would honestly be so confused. like he knows what she’s doing, but he doesn’t understand how she could ever think it would work??? lmao. i think bin would be the most uncomfortable member. he just doesn’t know what to do because he hates being rude to people, but he also can’t stand this hoe and wants her to leave him alone smh. seeing him so anxious whenever she comes over would make you so upset, and honestly this whole situation would probably end with a confrontation between you and her. at this point you’re upset on soobin’s behalf more than yours.

“thank you, y/n,” poor bin would be so relieved and thankful. (and he also kind of thinks you’re hot when you’re angry, so… it’s a win win). “i’m so glad we don’t have to talk to her anymore.”

The end of Junior year had hit, and another school event to attend. It was like no other as it’s become a school tradition to celebrate with friends and peers. The music drowned by the students as they sang along while you were surrounded by people in your year combined with Freshmans, Sophomores, and your significant other.

One hand in theirs and the other in the air, holding your phones as you swayed to the music, relishing the feeling of the bass beating in sync with the beat in your chest as the night sky began to form a blanket above.

“I’m sorry-”

Your head followed the origin of a familiar voice, having students move around causing you to bump into each other. An apology also about to slip from your lips until your eyes met with ones you knew so well, it felt like the pace of everything around you slowed down, the sound instantly faded.

Those familiar eyes that once held so much happiness. Those lips that once adorned a genuine smile. And those fingers that were once laced with yours with such warmth. But now, you weren’t the reason. It wasn’t Freshman year anymore.

You briefly observed his fingers laced with someone else’s, though your eyes were still on one another. His eyes shifted, following your hand enclosed in your significant other’s.

“Beomgyu, be careful! I’m so sorry about that!” His significant other flashed a genuine smile.

“No, I’m sorry.” Your voice just loud enough for him to hear. Your heart sank when he responded with a weak smile, and he knew you’d catch that.

They say to cherish your happiest moments while they last, to engulf yourself with that pure bliss of satisfaction before it’s gone. It isn’t easy to find that same happiness with the hope that they’d last forever, even if that forever isn’t a long time.

An attempt to reciprocate the same smile was difficult. He’s moved on and found someone new; you’re happy for him.

It was nice holding onto you while I still had the chance.

Being someone's choice everyday is a luxury.

Not everyone can experience such fortune in their lives, waiting for the right person throughout their whole lifetime. But there are common instances that they end up with the wrong person. You're fortunate enough to have found the person that sees you as their first choice. He's someone that gave you hope, constantly reminding you that everything will be okay, and if not then it will soon pass. That something beautiful and full of light will appear in the midst of darkness and clouds.

There you stood under the moonlight at a school event, the loud blaring music blocked out everything, colorful lights waving in all directions, and the crowd sang along with the band that began to sing. They waved their phones in unison, their lips spread into a wide smile, happiness soaring through their faces.

All of our lives, we're prompted to go the extra mile to be happy. But there's more to happiness than what we know. That sometimes, going the extra mile means appreciating what we have in our current possession. That being happy doesn't always mean shooting for the stars and chasing vague and abstract concepts of love and life. Because sometimes, being happy means choosing what makes us happy everyday. And he makes you happy like no other.

"How are you feeling?" his soft voice had caught your attention, turning away from the stage to face him. It felt like time stopped the moment your gaze landed on his face. His eyes were full of mirth, holding great admiration towards you, the smile he adorned was genuine as he faced you, the lights hitting his face at such a right time; he's happy.

You mirrored his smile, a soft laugh escaping between your lips before you spoke. "I'm happy, genuinely happy." Your heart felt warm, as if the sun was embracing you within its arms. You felt his hand against yours, lacing his fingers between to hold you tighter, afraid that he might lose you now that he found you.

Beomgyu slowly leaned down and gently pressed a kiss on your lips, giggling at the feeling when his lips formed into a smile.

Happiness isn't as complicated as we thought. Because sometimes, what we want is already in front of us. It’s just a matter of time when we realize that it’s what we wanted all along.

And before we know it, it's gone.

Hold onto them while they're still there.
