When the series releases I hope there's posts or videos dissecting the movie references in the show, not just Sonic easter eggs. I haven't seen most of those movies and I'm really curious.

Funny how fans are learning that "Knuckles" is meant to be a love letter to 90s sports comedies like "The Big Lebowski" and getting angry because "THAT'S NOT SONIC STUFF!"

I think having Sonic stories written by people who have influences beyond other Sonic media is a great thing, actually.

Watch us hype up that the proclaimed rumor of Keanu being Shadow’s va turn out to be some one completely different when the trailer drops.

It would be so fucking funny...I don't know how I'd feel since the concept finally grew on me, but the chaos would be entertaining

I made the post on reddit about the humans but someone pointed out to me in the comments some fans just want Sonic to ditch humans in Movie 3 or immediately after and I'm like.. SHADOW'S ENTIRE PLOT REVOLVES AROUND HUMANS

Like his connections with Maria and Gerald helped shaped him into the person he becomes and haunt the events of Adventure 2. There's also the topic of humans being good or evil that is a prevalent theme in his storyline across the games. Ditching the humans would destroy that narrative completely.

Shadow and Sonic's connection with humans also makes them foils in the movie but due to the events on the Ark Shadow and Sonic can never see eye to eye morally until Shadow remembers Maria's wish

I can understand how adaptations like 3&K could struggle to incorporate human characters (which is why Tom and Maddie were kinda sidelined in the sequel), but Sonic Adventure 2 is literally the easiest adaptation to insert human characters in

Despite his grumpy attitude, I think Knuckles deeply admires Sonic.

Sonic was the one who showed him compassion when he was at his lowest point. Even after everything he did, Sonic still offers him a new purpose, a new home.

Knuckles values Sonic's opinion more than anyone else's (besides his own), is more likely to listen to his advice, and deep down is afraid to disappoint him.

Now that I think of it, would there be room for Amy in the next film? It might be too crowded with shadow and Maria and robotnik

That depends on what the story is going to be. Shadow and Robotnik are villains, Maria is probably just part of the backstory, in theory you could throw in a new character to the heroes side.

I'm not sure though, we'll have to wait and see

I’m sure that you’ve seen the teaser of Amy on Twitter for the knuckles show. I saw that a lot of people were having a hard time trying to tell if it was real or not. Was it ever confirmed if it was a real screenshot or a fake photo?

Could it be possible that the ratio of alien to human characters is what sets some people off?

I don't think the ratio matters considering that their importance isn't equal. With the exception of Robotnik, every alien character in Sonic 2 was a main character, the humans played a supporting roles.

"Knuckles" seems equal too, with both Knuckles and Wade as main characters and every other human playing support
